They'll show each serial in order, is what I'm thinking. www.mst3kinfo.com/I LOVE this set. I always like me some season 1, Rocket Attack USA which is my least favorite of the four is still pretty good, I love the host segments of Village of the Giants, and The Deadly Mantis is awesome as well .

So looking at the shorts compilations:
The Phantom Creeps 203- JUNGLE GODDESS with short: THE PHANTOM CREEPS PT 1 - Not yet released 205- ROCKET ATTACK USA with short: THE PHANTOM CREEPS PT 2 - Volume 27 (coming Fall '13) 206- THE RING OF TERROR with short: THE PHANTOM CREEPS PT 3 - Volume 11 (in print)
Undersea Kingdom: 406- ATTACK OF THE GIANT LEECHES with short: UNDERSEA KINGDOM PT 1 - Volume 6 (out of print) 409- THE INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN with short: UNDERSEA KINGDOM PT 2 - Volume 11 (in print)
General Hospital: 413- MANHUNT IN SPACE with short: GENERAL HOSPITAL PT 1 - Volume 14 (in print) 415- THE BEATNIKS with short: GENERAL HOSPITAL PT 2 - Volume 17 (in print) 417- CRASH OF THE MOONS with short: GENERAL HOSPITAL PT 3 - Volume 18 (in print)
So really, if you collect every volume, then the Shout! exclusive isn't that tempting. Only "never before released" bit is the short before JUNGLE GODDESS.
---
Good looking set! All four are episodes I've never before seen. While I'm always hoping for episodes I love, I'll admit that it is far more exciting to see episodes I've never seen or have only seen once. I still want Puma Man, Invasion of the Neptune Men, The Screaming Skull, Quest of the Delta Knights, Track of the Moon Beast, Squirm and Diabolik badly(all episodes I still have on tape and have seen again and again) and will continue to hope for them, but really any episode excites me.

I am nerding the f*** out right now.
Seriously, the one episode that could have generated an emotional reaction from me, and they picked it. Deadly Mantis was my very first episode and it's near and dear to my heart. The only way the rest of the set could have sparked any more of a reaction from me is if the other episodes were Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster, Amazing Colossal Man, and Diabolik.
The rest of the episodes are so-so by comparison. Slime People and Rocket Attack I've only seen once and remember them being alright. Village of the Giants is a stronger effort, but I find the movie far too obnoxious to genuinely get excited about.
But I'm happy Shout's going for another "one from each era" set. Other than Volume 9 and 25, we there haven't been any sets that gave us a taste of each. The sad thing is this might be their last chance for a while, since Slime People was the last episode that isn't owned by Warner Bros in season one, so if they want to release any more Josh episodes they need to get one more big studio on our side. I'm optimistic though, after they got Universal and MGM, I'm sure Warner and Paramount are next on their list. And if they actually do crack them, there's a damn good chance we'll see the entire first season of the show on DVD!

This is the first set in a while I haven't been *super* stoked for, but I still like it none-the-less. Generally, every set has had either at least one all-time favorite, or one episode I'm not too familiar with. This one has four episodes I enjoy, but don't love, and I've seen all of them several times.
Still, I can't complain. Looking forward to it, just not as much as usual.

Nothing earth Shattering here. All of these were likely or extremely likely. Was kinda hoping for another movie that would blow our socks off as to them getting the rights to it and would open up the flood gates for some movies we thought we wouldn't be getting. (Which is something Shout has done a few times now).
That being said this is a pretty good set. I'm glad to see Village of the Giants because my copy is kinda messed up and skips a lot in my DVD player. So I'll be glad to get a good copy of that. Glad to see another Season 1 episode on there too. Kinda hope they can actually get the rest of S1 out and finally complete an entire season of the show.

Big studio licenses are fragile and it's likely they have a sooner expiration date than others. Shout's doing the smart thing by burning through the ones they have so they aren't too close to going out of print by the time they are released, which is especially important considering how many episodes were under MGM and Universal. Until the titles under one of those logos wears down, I don't see them looking to another studio to deal with.

Woot, another awesome batch of titles! Never thought I'd see stuff like VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS and THE DEADLY MANTIS making their way on DVD a few years ago... Shout continues to impress!

You said it Travis, Shout keeps on delivering the goods Another set I am very happy with. I love both Deadly Mantis and Village of the Giants. I think they are great episodes. I have not seen Slime People or Rocket Attack USA before. Extras sound good as always. Mary Jo has to be doing the intro for Deadly Mantis which should be a fun one. Hoping to see The Leech Woman on the next set, among other episodes. Thanks Shout! and keep them coming!

For the variety alone, this is one of the greatest collections ever!
Season 1s Slime People might not be humor juggernaut, but I've always enjoyed the hell out of it. Rocket Attack USA is a rock solid season 2. Giants and Manits rank among my all time favorites.
Very happy with this release.

This is the kinda collection I get real excited for: almost all new-to-me episodes! I've only seen Mantis, and that was as a Sc-Fi channel re-run like 13 years ago when I was a teen!

Who would ever have thought that we would have so much of the first four seasons out on DVD? Wonderful.
Just wish I had more cash to afford these things.
