ha, i like this. i don't QUITE agree (i agree about 90-95 percent) but I like how you didn't stutter. I actually canceled my cable when they took MST3k off the air and with rare relapses have lived without cable since 1999. On my free TV there's a channel called Cozi that shows old stuff (including Wonder Woman!), it's how i discovered the joys of Banacek. There's an old Polish proverb that goes, "New things suck."

I don't quite agree with myself either. But when I was growing up there always seemed to be that new cool thing, that new obsession, must watch TV or whatever. Discovering SNL, Letterman, early X-Files, The Tick cartoon... something would pop up that would become my "thing".
After MST3K I thought, "Okay, something new will come along" but it never did. I've had things I've liked, "Fringe" for example, but it never reached those lofty highs. I never went on a Fringe forum for example.
The things I get into now are older. I'll binge on Original Star Trek for a spell, or spend months listening to nothing but XTC... stuff like that.

I'm certain this surprises no one, but I hang out on 4chan a lot now. The site's not as good as it once was, but "good" is kind of a subjective term when 4chan is involved.
Been spending a lot of time on Netflix catching up on stuff I never got the chance to watch as a kid (watching through DS9 right now), and generally staying kinda out of the loop. I have my webcomics, I have my movies, I have some video games, but that's about it.

dafont.com. If you like fonts, this stuff's like twelve and blue magic mixed up into one.

Some newer and sorta newish stuff I like to watch nowadays are The Big Bang Theory, Walking Dead, The Venture Brothers, Arrow, and I still watch Supernatural even though the eps have been hit or miss and I don't always like the direction they go in. I'll pop in a Farscape DVD sometimes, that's my other favorite show, but I've seen them all so many times I'm kinda taking a break from them for a while and I'll get into it again some time in the not-too-distant future, I know. (I do that with MST3K eps, too).
Anyone ever watch the "How it Shoul've Ended" little cartoon shorts? They have their own website, I think, but I caught a few on YouTube and some of them are kinda funny. (I like the Harry Potter one). They're just little cartoon snippets on how the creators think certain movies and other stuff should've ended. (I guess it's self explanatory, heh). Though, I'm not really "into" it, I've only watched a few. But they can be amusing.
Diana Prince? (if that is your real name), have you ever watched The Venture Brothers? Cartoon on Adult Swim. (Kind of a goof on the old Johnny Quest-type cartoons - he was even IN a few episodes, an older burnt out version, though they changed his name to something else in order to not get sued, Action Johnny, I think). You might like it. (Though you might need to watch it from the beginning if eps are available, in order to get what's going on).

I've been on a Torchwood kick lately. They had a little mini marathon on BBC America, so I started watching those. Think I'll have to get the eps now. I didn't really like Miracle Day, though. Too different of a feel from earlier seasons - or series as they say. Love Capt. Jack.

"Breaking Bad"
I didn't watch it for the first few years it was on, but my brother started recording it when the Sundance Channel started showing reruns a few months ago. Now I'm damn near obsessed with it, I have the AMC marathon on right now, and I'm so looking forward to the finale tonight.

i'm almost embarrassed to say breaking bad is the best show that's ever been on T.V., because, well, that's what everyone's saying, and I don't like to think I'm susceptible to groupthink... but yeah, outside of a certain cowtown puppet show and maybe the parts of Real Houswives of Beverly Hills that have Kim Richards in them, I'm thinking Breaking Bad was probably the best show that's ever been on T.V.

I've become addicted to a YouTube channel called pwnageshow. It never fails to crack me up. The premise is quite simple. Two friends, Damian and Kyle, play video games, compete against each other, and trash talk each other. It doesn't sound all that special, but what makes it so funny is Kyle. He's sarcastic and loses his temper very easily, especially when Damian provokes him (which happens practically every ten seconds) or when the game is incomprehensible. He gives the impression that he is just seconds away from a complete meltdown. Damian likes to goof around and act like a wide-eyed innocent. He knows how to push Kyle's buttons by saying dopey things. Their chemistry is great. They have other YouTube channels and they are pretty funny individually, but when they get together for pwnageshow it's magic. It's worth checking out, but it's NSFW and definitely not for the easily offended. Kyle can be pretty un-PC in the heat of battle.

Reddit. A lot. It's weird.
I noticed I watch a lot less, at least off-line. I even ignore the piles of DVDs. It's mostly limited to one-shot specials or trips to the theater. My online viewing consumption used to be mostly similar or vlogs and I find even that is dramatically reduced. If I sit and watch anything, it's almost always British. Random vague documentaries from the Beeb and QI, mostly. My podcast diet is a lot more limited too-mostly some of the Cracked ones and Nerdist, although not even that so much anymore. I am reading a lot more, but it's pretty random-I'll pick up old fantasy novels and then grab a book on Bedlam for bathroom reading. Back on the Calvin and Hobbes a lot too.
What I'm saying is I'm much more dull now.
