Just stumbled onto a huge archive of magazines in pdf format. I came across it looking for Collier's 1951 special issue outlining World War III as then envisioned and found the entire issue up. Looking around the archive I found a treasure trove of titles, but annoyingly many are indexed and sub-indexed only to return an "under copyright" message. Look for the ones labelled "readable." But that still gives you everything from Harper's Monthly back to 1851, The Knickerbocker to 1837, Thrilling Wonder Stories, Unknown, Marxism Today, The American Spectator . . . quite an assortment from which to choose: www.unz.org/Pub/AllPeriodicals?Category=AllMediaEdit: Hmmm . . . the scans are such that the print is very small. Edit 2: Also a very clunky interface, and the issue I'm looking at doesn't appear to be complete after all. This archive is far less of a find than it seemed at first.

It still is an impressive collection of magazines. Argosy was cool.
