Glee annoys me, but that was funny. Was it wrong I was hoping Twisted Sister would actually show up?

you were wrong but not alone.
i've never seen glee. just the previews irritate me.
it was funny - my favorite part was while amy was trash talking, aubrey plaza was next to her, mouthing "i hate you" over and over.

I find Aubrey Plaza is funnier than Pohler, personally. She had a great story on Letterman about her having a stroke. She turned a scary story into something quite funny and charming. I thought the way she talked about how she could only say her name when she started recovering was adorable. The doctors and her family would ask her questions and all she could say was "Aubrey Plaza."

i wasn't aware aubrey had had a stroke. she's so young. she is funny, though. i saw her on..conan, i think? where she was talking about a couple that came up and asked her to "be mean" to them, and she kept telling them to leave her alone and they just kept laughing, like she was playing along. aubrey's character in parks is my role model. i only wish i could be like her. i think she is going to only get more popular. she's fun to watch.

Ha! Surreal to think someone could get into an infinite loop with Plaza. She might reach Hulk-like fury levels and the couple would just keep laughing. She's good in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, too.
She apparently had the stroke when she was 20. You can find the interview on YouTube (I think it's her first appearance on the show). Another funny bit was that her boyfriend at the time (who Plaza describes as "much older") was helping her answer questions for the doctors, and when they asked her how old she was, the only number she could say was "16," much to her boyfriend's consternation. She's so deadpan through it all but keeps it light. I don't know anyone else like her.

yeah, aubrey is one of a kind. she reminds me of the kind of girl i would have been terrified/in awe of in high school. she's one of the best parts of p&r, and since this is their last season i'm sure she will find plenty to do when it wraps.

parks & rec began their final season last night. but i guess it's for the best. it couldn't go on forever and like 30 rock, i'm glad they're pulling the plug on it before it started getting lame. it's cool how they're doing it; it's the year 2017. you get to see how everyone's lives have changed. tom is a successful restaurant owner, donna is engaged and kicking ass selling real estate and andy has his own tv show. and jerry/larry is now called terry. or barry, i forget. does it really matter at this point? ron has his own building & development company and apparently leslie hasn't forgiven him for leaving the parks department. they are also not speaking over something referred to as "morning star," that i assume we'll learn more about in the coming weeks. it's between leslie and ron on who will win the bid for the 100+ acres of land up for sale from the rich newport family. leslie wants to turn it into her dream park and ron wants to develop it. but they have to call a temporary truce to help the deciding vote - councilman jam, one of my favorite characters on p&r. he has started dating tammy 2, ron's horrible ex (and real life wife) and it is up to leslie and ron to de-tammy him. meanwhile, april is freaking out over the fact that she and andy appear to be losing their weirdness and spontaneity. april begins a quest to find out what she really wants to do with her life, and it looks like ben is going to help her. and andy is helping tom get back together with an old girlfriend - he hires her to run his restaurant even though she still has a boyfriend. so it looks like there is going to be plenty of things to settle before the final episode. they've moved the show from thursday to tuesday nights and for now it looks like they're going to run two shows back to back. aweseome sauce.

I'm not a fan of the show (so what the hell are you doing here harshing our buzz?) I like parts of it, certain actors like Aubrey. But others... not so much. But last night I was surfing around and hey, there's Werner Herzog. Man do I love his voice and personality, so I stuck around. And man, that was one of the most gloriously wonderful scenes I've ever seen on TV. I wish it was more than cameo. I tried to sit through more, but aside from Plaza's bits I couldn't do it. But thanks Parks & Recs for that moment of bliss. BTW, Aubrey was recently on Letterman... link

you kill me, mj. you say you prefer keaton in my chaplin blog and now you say you aren't a fan of parks in the parks thread. i'm wondering if we did a scooby-doo ending and ripped off your mask, you wouldn't turn out to be my dad. but thanks for mentioning herzog! i had totally forgotten about him. how in the world did he end up there? did he just wander on to the set? like you, i was hoping we'd see more of him; that was awesome. and hey - i love aubrey so much i actually watched grumpy cat's worst christmas ever.

Well I thought about positing my love of Werner's scenes in the "Least favorite Christmas songs" thread.... but for some strange reason, it seemed like it might be a better fit here. Edit, and curious I went and looked in the Chaplin thread to see where I said that (it's true, but I don't remember doing it in that thread) And most of my comments are complimentary, the only post I can find where I mentioned Keaton was when members were conversing about other comedic acts they liked and didn't like. And I threw in my 2 cents there. Hey, I think Charlie is brilliant... just not as brilliant as Keaton... or Werner Herzog... or Aubrey Plaza

lol - okay, fair enough, maybe you never came out and directly said you preferred keaton. but I KNOW THE TRUTH. and i value every person that gives chaplin praise and i always knew you were one of them. ^came across that today. i might re-run p&r this weekend, just to see herzog's contribution again. and i forgot to mention blake anderson was on the show as well - workaholics can be pretty stupid and crude, but i still crack up at it, and blake has always been my favorite.

Nice pic, now if they would only hold a seance so they could film a scene with Aubrey, Werner and the ghost of Chaplin...
