I got mine over the weekend! Have watched everything (including the two extra eps) except "Gorgo". Loved the Return to Eden Prairie doc series. Very well done, and perhaps the best Ballyhoo production yet. A worthy 25th Anniversary collection. (And I got all the extra spaghetti stress balls, too!)
Now I can't wait to hear which titles are announced for the next volume! I need MORE!!

When was this meant to be released? Last week I saw two copies at my local FYE. I would have picked one up, but they were full price for $65, whereas my Amazon pre-order price is $45. $20 more or wait two weeks... I went with waiting. Still, tin looked nice.
Also, to prep for the set I made room on my ever shrinking MST3K shelf by putting Mitchell and The Brain That Wouldn't Die Rhino releases, as well as the original Manos and MST3K the Movie DVDs, in storage. I like seeing them all up there on the shelf, but I figured I'm just taking up space with multiple versions of the same thing. Now I have room for the next four releases.

Yeah I am in the same boat Troy's Dad. I pre-ordered from Amazon and it's price is $45.49. I did get an e-mail notice saying that the set would be here earlier than expected then I got another e-mail notice basically saying "never mind" and it went back to the original release date. So I wonder if Shout Factory released them early for people who ordered directly from them and all the others told to wait Like you said the price that is being offered is a lot higher than what I pre-ordered from Amazon so I guess I will wait. Really looking forward to it though.

At least it'll be here before Thanksgiving. I plan on playing one of the episodes from the set in our Thanksgiving Day television rotation.

I wonder why some of the menus were done on the cheap with 2D animation, while others were in 3D? Moon Zero Two, for example, had cheaper 2D drawings of the characters while The Day the Earth Froze was in 3D.
Was the 3D animator too busy with the MST3K: The Movie release and had to push some of the work off onto another guy?

I thought it was a stylistic choice. The 2D drawings fit right at home on the Moon Zero Two menu.

Little something I've noticed, the spines for the individual movies in every release BUT the 20th and 25th anniversary editions follow the "MST3K (volume number): (Movie title)" naming convention. The 20th and 25th omit the volume number, not even mentioning the anniversary year. Just found it interesting, as I use the spines to recall which volume the movie goes in when I pull it from the shelf. I had pulled Future War and for a moment couldn't figure out which volume it went with.
