I think it's pretty hard to get a moose to pee in a bottle.

Holy Crap, I have been terrible about posting. In Germany I spent a lot of time getting drunk on really good German beer.(Don't tell my sister). One of my favorite German beers was Karlsburg. Fantastic taste and flavor. The best part about Germany is that beers are cheaper than water and they have like a million different beers. Germany is beer country; although my brother-in-law says Belgian beers are even better than the German ones. And he may be right. I haven't tried too many Belgian beers; but the ones I have tried are Stella Artios, which is very good, and Delirium Tremens, which is excellent. They also have those Trappist beers in Belgium, which are something else. If you go to a Trappist monestary, you have to make an appointment, but you won't be disappointed.

The Oktoberfest beers are in!! Sam Adams Oktoberfest is excellent. Get it while it's in stores; in October they put out their Winter Lager. Another great beer is the Haufbrauhaus Oktoberfest. Very good flavor and taste. This is German beer(The Haufbrau Haus is a restaurant/beer hall in Munich, but they have restaurants in the US as well).
Goose Island, which is a Chicago area brewery, now has an Oktoberfest beer as well. I haven't tried it yet, but their other beers are good.
Leinenkugel's has one as well, and that's very good too.
Those are my favorites, as of this typing anyway. I'm sure I'll find others as I go along. That's the great thing about beer, you can always find a new one and find a style that you like.

Trying the new Goose Island Oktoberfest beer. This is 6.4% alcohol by volume and has a rich taste. There's also a dried apricot and toffee aroma to it. I like this beer. Goose Island seems to be expanding and coming up with more beers. I look forward to trying more of their beers.

Well, I have not kept up and feel really bad about it. So, here we go!!! Flying Horse Royal Lager Beer. This is exported from India. It is only 4.7% alcohol by volume but it has a really good taste. Scrimshaw. This beer is brewed in Fort Bragg, California, by the North Coast Brewing Co. According to the bottle this beer is "named for the delicate engravings of nineteenth century seafarers, this is a fresh-tasting pilsner style beer brewed in the finest European tradition, with a subtle hop character, a clean, crisp palate, and a dry finish". Very good taste although I didn't notice it being hoppy. I liked this one. Oh, North Coast Brewing Co has a website, which is www.northcoastbrewing.comCzechvar. This lager beer is imported from the Czech Republic and is very good. 5% alcohol by volume. I really enjoyed this beer. It is filling, without filling you up. From the bottle "Czechvar is the special name of the world famous beer produced by renowned brewery in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic. Benefiting from over 700 years of brewing experience of the South Bohemian region, Czechvar is the golden original, acknowledged by many connoisseurs as one of the best lagers in the world". Although I haven't tasted every lager in the world, I can say that it's really good.

New Holland Brewing Co's Full Circle beer. This is what's called a "kolsch style" of beer, which means it is brewed like beers in the Cologne Germany area. In Germany brewers have to follow certain laws of brewing, which differ depending on what area of the country you live in. So there's your history lesson too. Anyway, this Full Circle has a really good taste, not too heavy and uses the yin/yang symbol as the label for their beer. The bottle says "Soft malt character, a low hop profile, and a crisp finish bring refreshing, classic flavor." It's quite good. www.NewHollandBrew.com
