i love the octoberfest, too. that and the winter lager. the only beer of sam's i haven't liked so much was the "hop's tour" that i tried earlier this summer. it had too much of a twang to it. that was a first for me.

Tried something called Four Lokos. It's 12% alcohol. It's not beer, but a flavored drink. The flavors are watermelon, lemonade, fruit punch, and pineapple. It's also in a can that looks very similar to an energy drink, although the can says "Contains alcohol". Quite interesting.

My sis-in-law brought some Seagrams Aloha-tinis to the lake house this year, and only one got drunk. There was an open, undrunk one sitting around after dinner, which I poured into my empty wine glass and tried. It was wretched... tasted like Kool-Aid. Bleeargh! It may have been because it had warmed up, but if it's that bad warm, I don't really want to drink one.

sounds yucky. like something you'd drink in your teens or 20's and swear it was awesome, even as you were hurling on someone's trans-am.

Vomit really kills the paint on the Trans-Am.

Trippel Belgian Style Ale. This is from the New Belgium Brewing Co., the same company that makes Fat Tire. Trippel is really good too. It's 7.80% alcohol, it's a little heavy, but it's a nice beer. Has coriander in it which makes it taste really good.
