And I did. Do you think Uranus would like a Big Cock? Please, stop me if only. there was a bar where i used to live at the beach called big peckers. i take pride in saying i never set foot inside. i can only imagine the levels of drunken idiocy that ran rampant there.

I resemble that remark.

Blue Moon. This is a Belgian style wheat ale. On tap is better than the bottled or canned version, IMO. Garnished with an orange for flavor. It's a bit heavy, but very flavorful.

i like blue moon beer. i think you are right about it being better on draft, though.

Hop Devil. This is a India Pale Ale. 6.7% alcohol. Has a very good flavor to it. Here's the description from the bottle.
"The mythical HopDevil resides in the lore of farmers. Our Hop Devil is the real deal. Bold, spicy, and menacingly delicious. He's the product of American hops and meticulous craftsmanship. Arising from the heady wilds of our hopback and gently tamed with time, this Devil makes a great companion."
I'm not tasting the spicy but it's pretty good. This is from the Victory Brewing Co., the same people who do Golden Monkey.

Sam Adams Oktoberfest. Had this on tap at Chili's. It's very good. Some of the Sam Adams I don't care for, but this one is really good. Full body flavor and on tap is quite excellent.

the only sam adams i didn't like was called something like - hops tour -? i think that was it. in the bottle. had a funky aftertaste i didn't like. but that's the only kind - usually i love all of sam's beer. especially on draft.

I haven't tried all the Sam Adams beers, they have like 35 or something, and I refuse to drink any of the pumpkin flavored beers. That being said, Sam Adams was probably the first of the craft beers. I remember when the original was available here in Chicago. That was a banner day. Now Sam Adams has a beer for every season and every taste. Plus, they use George Thorogood's "Who Do You Love" in their commercials.

i know what you mean; i don't want them to come out with a new brew every other month. but except for that one i mentioned, i haven't ever had a bad sam adams. not too heavy or light - it's the goldilocks of beer - it's just right for me. i also agree that this whole thing about giving EVERYthing pumpkin flavor has gotten way out of hand - i don't know if i would find pumpkin beer worth trying, either. but even though i am no fan of thorogood, i stand by sam.

Third Shift. This is one of Miller Brewing Co.'s craft beers. It's an amber lager, so it's dark, but it's not heavy at all. It's 5.3% alcohol. Very good flavor.

Finally got to try some Old Rasputin. It's a very heavy stout. I wanted to like it, as it has a good flavor, but it was just too heavy.

Sam Adams Winterfest. This has to be one of the best things I've tasted. Had it both on tap and in bottles. This is such a good beer, you can drink a lot of it and not realize how much you've had.

I wanted to like it, as it has a good flavor, but it was just too heavy. heavy beer needs love, too. sam adams winterfest is awesome. that is what i love about sam - draft is always better if you can get it, but it's damn good in the bottles, too. i think you can't go wrong with either winter or summerfest.

I need to not eat anything for a couple days, then drink a heavy beer. Maybe this weekend when we get our latest snowstorm of doom.
