Manos was filmed in about a week and a half. Then it was edited in about 6 hours. None of the cast got to see much before the premiere. If we had, my family probably wouldn't have gone to the premiere. After that, everyone went their own way and basically never spoke of it again. I personally looked for it most of my youth and was truly shocked when it showed up on TV. In January 1993 MST3K gave me and my dad the chance to see it for the first time since 1966.

Jackey/Debbie- Thank you so much for visiting our little corner of the interwebs! I've really enjoyed your blog and as a dumb fan, I'm thrilled to see you embracing your Manos past.
I also loved to read about your dad's brush with Kennedy on that fateful day. Has he seen the MST episode? (Your dad, not Kennedy).

If you said almost ten years ago that little Debbie would be speaking to us I would have never believed it.
Just want to say hello Jackey, and I'm enjoying your blog.

Thank you so much! Yes, my dad was a MST fan and was dozing on a cold Sat afternoon while watching Comedy Central when he heard strangely familiar music. He opened his eyes...and there he was. That's how I learned of it too. When he called saying, "You'll never believe what I just saw"

Now that is a great story! And it's very cool that your dad was a fan. Thanks for joining us, Jackey/Debbie. I love your artwork. When did you start painting?

Thank you for joining, Jackey! What do you think about the Manos in HD Project? Have you seen the finished product? I understand Ben interviewed you and your father and it'll be a bonus on the BD.

The Masters Painting does still exist. It is in the possession of one of Hal Warrens kids. My dad, who was The Master, also created all the set design, art, costumes, sculpture, etc...including The Master's Painting. Thanks for replying to my question. Glad to know it still exits. I don't think it was ever seen in a wide shot in the movie, so I've been curious about the actual dimensions of it.

Maybe my wife would let me put it in the bedroom. Master could watch me sleep.

Hi Jackie! I wanted to ask you if you could describe what John Reynold's real voice sounded like, if you remember (since Warren apparently dubbed his voice in post). Like, if you could pick an actor who's voice might sound similar to John's.
Also, is there a particular riff or joke from MST3K's Manos episode that is your favorite, or that you find really funny?
