I only have 5 volumes so far. I need to get more. I also wish they'd re-issue the old ones that are out of print as well.

Best price I've found online is at Sears of all places at $35.99 (not sure what shipping costs): entertainment.sears.com/mystery-science-theater-3000-volume-xxix/826663148572If you are a Shop Your Way member, like me, you will likely get further discounts (just wait for a special to your liking to appear in your email) and even free shipping. It's odd, but they treat me like royalty and keep extended my trial membership for free (I've had it like a year now). I'm actually getting Volume XXIX for less than $25 with free shipping. I've purchased the two volumes before that for roughly $30 each. Used to love Amazon, but they no longer offer much of a discount on many things. Looking elsewhere now and I hope Sears stays in business for a while longer.

Amazon has yet to price match Barnes & Noble or Buy.com, however if we all submit lower prices to Amazon's product page, hopefully they'll drop the price before release. Gave it a shot & let Amazon know. Let's see if it works. Since I ordered this product via free shipping I have a couple of days. If they say sorry I will say cancel

Well Amazon did not reduce my order after I let them know over 48 hours ago. So I cancelled my order and went with Buy.com (now called Rakuten) Never have dealt with them before. Hopefully it will work out.

So, guess what arrived today? Pumaman's distributor is Rocca Delle Macie S.p.A., for those interested. Rocca Delle Macie appears to be primarily an Italian wine company, according to their website. How did THEY wind up with the rights to Pumaman? I'd like to hear the story of the rights history and ownership transfers made for the film. What was Indoamericana Films, the original copyright holder and production company? Pumaman was later distributed by Cinema Shares for TV and such, hence the opening logo on the MST3k edition. The only VHS release of the uncut film was from Prism Video back in the 1980s. I know an MST3k fan who said he read postings on the MST3k Usenet newsgroups detailing all the tangled rights history problems for Pumaman. Anyone out there who knows about this?

They probably ran out of money one day and said "Do you want our movie?" LOL Upon further exploration of Rocca Delle Macie's website, about the company's history, I found this: Rocca delle Macìe was established in 1973, when Italo Zingarelli – producer of Ettore Scola’s We All Loved Each Other So Much, and also of the wildly popular series of films featuring comedy duo Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (including They Call Me Trinity and Trinity Is Still My Name) – decided to realize his lifelong dream by acquiring the “Le Macìe” estate – extending across 85 hectares in all, of which only two were under vine – in order to create a winery in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone. Aparrently, this Italo Zingarelli guy was a producer of at least one of Pumaman director Alberto de Martino's other films during his career. What do you think, sirs? Does this explain how they wound up with the rights?

The Thing That Couldn't Die is From Universal (again, duh). Some of you will be disappointed that Mamie is not asked about MST3K in the interview-it's mostly an overview of her career up to Untamed Youth. EDIT: The episode is actually in damn fine shape, with only one tape hit (during the first spaghetti ball bumper), and a couple bits of jitter when the slop cook is calling Tropp re: Mamie's "talent". There's also a plug to buy the original version of the movie at wbshop.com tacked onto the end of the episode (after the blanked-out Comedy Channel logo, mind you). Hercules also looks good outside of a bit of tape distortion at the top of the screen around the 75 minute mark (it falls clearly in the overscan area, though) and some hardcore artifacting in the water during the Jack Lalane joke, but the print the Brains used for the movie is not only scratched, pitted, and missing frames, but the color correction is so piss-poor that crushed blacks (of which there are many) look GREEN because the print was obviously fading to red/pink. The only tape hit is a fairly nasty one during the letter reading.
