Joel is bringing his "Riffing Myself" one-man-show to Roseville, California (just outside Sacramento) for one night only on February 8, 2014. The theatre is an intimate venue seating only 225 people. General Admission tickets are $30, and VIP tickets are $50. The VIP ticket includes an after show meet and greet with Joel where he will take photos with fans, sign autographs, and answer one-on-one questions. VIP tickets will not be sold at the door. There is also a raffle during the night with the grand prize being a replica set of Crow & Servo props, with other prizes being DVD's that have been donated by Shout Factory. "Riffing Myself" is described as: A hilarious walk through the history of the Peabody Award winning television series Mystery Science Theater 3000 with it's creator Joel Hodgson. The mastermind behind movie riffing opens up about life and the origins of his comedic career, beginning with a quest to find the ultimate ventriloquist dummy. Expect to delve deep into the history of B-movies, hear the legendary origin story behind MST3K and its humble beginnings at local Minneapolis-St. Paul station KTMA TV 23, and the host of TV pilots and other projects that have made up Joel's professional life. Get to know the man who provided you with countless laughs on the Satellite of Love alongside Tom Servo, Crow T Robot, Gypsy and Cambot, with an evening of rich stories, hilarious anecdotes, and some tender moments mixed in.
