I thought it was pretty good, but not the best I've seen. I'm pretty excited for the next two, and my usual crowd will be joining me for them as well. I was so tickled when Keven called attention to his earring. I've been waiting for that for years.

Being in Louisiana, the "grief counselor for FEMA" line got a huge laugh in our theater.
Seriously, that ending had to be the biggest WTF moment in cinematic history!
I wasn't expecting Spring Fever until the Godzilla show though, so that surprised me, as well as the footage for Godzilla. The difficulties they had made it even funnier. Unfortunately I didn't get to see all of the Godzilla footage. The 4 sweet teas I had before the movie caught up to me.
Is it just me, or when you watch a movie or short that they've done before on MST3K, I'm always expecting to hear the line from the MST3K riff, and not something new.

I keep saying the lines in my head (and, to an extent, being disappointed when the lines don't come since I've associated those movies/shorts with those lines for so many years.) I'm glad to see fresh takes on them, though. I think I prefer the classic short from MST3K, but it was a good one. I also think that the difficulties added something. As I said in my review (shameless plug), I think not having audio for the first clip reinforces the fact that we're really there to hear those three making jokes, and not necessarily for the movies themselves.

I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants! The chainsaws! The Beverly Hill Emergency Services are second to none! Mid air shark gobbles!
I knew going in the guys were going to have a great time with this but that was superior riffing. I literally laugh cried all my makeup off and looked like a panda on Ecstasy walking home.
Look out gin, Tara's home!

I had tickets for the show in Minneapolis, but I had to cancel out on my trip at the last minute. So I really wasn't in the mood tonight to see it. Sounds like it was a great show. I'll probably check it out on Tuesday.

Oh man, what a movie. I for one had a fantastic time. It was a pleasant surprise to see our old friend Coily with some new riffing. During the movie I laughed loud and I laughed often. Fabulous riffing for a very deserving movie. Great job guys.

The short absolutely bombed for me. Wasn't funny at all. The way they covered up the technical difficulties during the Godzilla segment were hilarious. Main feature for the most part was inconsistent. The Tara Reed jokes were gold, but the incoherency of the editing in the film just made the film very difficult to work with. Though I think the film itself generated the biggest laugh of the show: when the busty waitress was pulled out of the shark at the end, the entire theater was in stitches.
This was my first time watching Sharknado and color me disappointed. I expected more funny wreckless carnage like that ending scene, but they were few and far between. Birdemic kicks Sharknado's ass any day of the week.

I'm skipping this one, from the get-go the idea of riffing this "movie" never really appealed to me. I'll probably just wait for the VOD when it comes if I hear it's good enough. I'm more interested in the Godzilla riff they'll be doing anyway. Hope you guys have a great time without me though. Saw a Facebook post and got an e-mail that said if you miss the re-broadcast, this won't be a VOD.

If that's the case I can live with an MP3 release if they do one.

Yeah, I'm regretting not making it now. They guys don't miss often, and the theater experience is infectious. Glad most had a good time!

I just got back from the viewing of Sharknado. I have to say that I thought it was... second to none. -EDIT- Weird question, though: I didn't show up during the thirty minutes before the movie began, so maybe I missed something but... I saw in the closing credits not one but two songs attributed to Weird Al (I'm sure Nature Trail To Hell was one of them.) Were they in the movie or production in a way that I hadn't noticed? They played White and Nerdy before the show during the slides, as well as Nature Trail to Hell.

I had a good time. I had my doubts about whether it was possible to riff a movie that is so self-consciously bad, but I think the guys did a pretty good job. I especially enjoyed the "Tasmanian" riffs. A very enjoyable evening. I've already bought my ticket for Godzilla, and I am really looking forward to it. I liked the little teaser. Was I the only one who saw the scene of the worms wiggling in the mud and thought, "I wonder if they'll do a callback to Squirm"?
And I really wish there was an upcoming movie called "Bad Ham Sandwich." I'd Netflix it.

I enjoyed myself overall. Like many, I wasn't sure how this would go because of the "intentionally bad" aspect of this main feature. Honestly, I think it worked fine because the movie was bad... not good bad or bad, bad... just the usual RIFFTRAX brand of bad... and, surprisingly, kind of boring... I mean, between the shark kills, this movie is really dull and not as over-the-top as I thought it would be (except for the insane ending). If the whole movie would have been more like the ending, I think everyone would have been laughing so hard at the movie, they wouldn't have been able to get any riffs in. But, as it stands, the movie was mostly dull and left plenty of dead space for riffs.
I wish they were able to release it as a VOD, because I think I'd enjoy this one even more on a second viewing. The short was just not good and unnecessary. I'm not a fan of new riffs over the MST3k classics. When I see them, I just hear the original (and much better) riffs in my head, cause they are so symbiotic to the movies & shorts. They're inseparable to me! I mean, Manos (which I actually attended LIVE in Nashville) was okay, because the movie itself is so much fun and so chocked full of flaws, I think it allowed them to do a decent job re-riffing that one... plus, Mike & Bill had never had an onscreen jab at Manos, so it was a fresher take on the experience. But re-doing shorts--especially classic shorts like "Case of Spring Fever", "Mr. B" and even "What About Juvenile Delinquency"--are so unnecessary and have not worked for me at all. I mean, if you can knock it out of the park a second time, then keep swinging for the fences man... but, for me personally, the MST3k re-do's have not impressed me so far.
Overall, still had fun at this one... Enjoyed the main feature riffing and the botched Godzilla preview riffing. Hated the re-hashed short. But, I will always support the RIFFTRAX gang. Will definitely be going to the Godzilla and also thinking about attending the Anaconda event LIVE (in Nashville?), since its near my birthday.
