It seems they've been leaning that way with the live shows since Starship Troopers. I guess it's to get you out to the theater so you can't use the excuse "I'll wait till the VOD comes out."

Unless they do earlier showings, or do these on weekend (at least for the second showings) I can't go. I'd lose a night of work and coupled with the movie ticket, that makes the evening a bit too expensive for my blood. (plus Rifftrax has been very, very hit or miss of late for me.) So no VOD, I guess that means I miss 'em completely. Ah well, such is life.

Well, you people talked me into seeing the rebroadcast. Wow. Just...wow. Not the riffing. The - ahem - "movie". What a mess! I was laughing more at that than the actual riffing (though that wasn't too bad).
So. Pools with sharks in them just EXPLODE into windows? (I guess that was supposed to be a huge gust of wind?). And the first floor of the house is flooded and they go outside and...no flooding. When they're rescuing those kids from the school bus from up on the bridge: The water is half-way up the bus, then they show it from another angle and you see the streets are just fine and cars are driving along normally. When they are in that underpass or whatever, those huge waves come crashing in, then the water level is just manageable. And where did all those people go that were running away from their cars? It's sunny, it's raining, it's cloudy, it's sunny again...
Holy crap. I can go on, but I won't. (Just pull live, unharmed people from inside sharks, okay, syfy, you know best - cancel great shows like MST3K and Farscape, but make lame-ass movies, yep). Cheap bastards.
I didn't really like the re-do of A Case of Spring Fever. It seemed a bit forced. I love these guys, I think they are funny for the most part, but lately whatever RiffTrax I watch, it just seems like they are trying too hard, they laugh too much at their own jokes and they overdo them to death.
