It was just a general interview to publicize the NatGeo special. The combination of Mike looking *very* uncomfortable (the slight delay between LA and Minneapolis didn't help) and the generic questions from the interviewer ("what's the worst movie you've ever riffed?" Super Mario Bros.) just gave off this sense of awkwardness to me.
The fact that there was a silhouette underneath Mike makes me think that it was intentionally awkward, though.
