I watched I think House on Haunted Hill on Hulu several months ago. I enjoyed it quite a bit and want to buy some more movies. The catalog is a little overwhelming to a beginner. I'm mostly interested in the B movies more than blockbusters. I was hoping to get some suggestions on their best stuff.

Any of their live shows are pretty great. If you're more into the B-movies, then I'd recommend just about any of their VODs. The shorts compilations are a fun mix. "The Guy From Harlem" is a personal favorite of mine, along with "Birdemic".

I really liked Cool as Ice, Nightmare at Noon, Future Force, and Guy from Harlem.

Guy from Harlem looked promising when I was browsing the catalog. I'll get that one first.

I gave Hulu a look and they have 13 movies and 28 shorts. Looks like I'll be busy checking these out.

I'm a little old-fashioned here, but I still love the original Road House, as well as the Britney Spears vehicle Crossroads, which I think are both Mike-only. Both are a very straight-forward mainstream Hollywood movie with good riffing. Otherwise I'd say Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny, The Room and the Star Wars Holiday Special. And no, you can't go wrong with the shorts at all.

"Alcohol Trigger Films" is my stand-out personal favorite. Mainly because the short itself is just so stunningly ill-advised and socially irresponsible. I can't even remember if the riffs are funny, I'm just so aghast at how awesomely fun it makes binge drinking look for middle-school kids.

the shorts are a win-win. out of so many they've done, i think my favorite is still drugs are like that. i just watched it again recently and enjoyed as much as i did the first time i saw it.
i agree with maddog - i prefer the b movies as well. carnival of souls is great, night of the living dead, plan 9 from outer space, missile to the moon (with the hilarious fred willard) and one of my favorites, voodoo man. i also agree with mod on santa claus and the ice cream bunny and the star wars holiday special, but santa claus and the ice cream bunny might not be everyone's taste. i didn't think i'd watch it very often after my first viewing - the guys were great, it was just that damned movie! - but now it's one of my favorites.
and YES. i cannot suggest guy from harlem enough. that movie even without the riffing is funny as hell, but mike, kevin and bill made it hilarious.

I caught Planet of the Dinosaurs via Hulu. Really loved that, it was like watching an episode of MST3K.

Guy From Harlem is great. So is Crossroads. Consider a stretch and go for Twilight.

I think I'm going to get the NatGeo shows for the gift certificate and then get Guy From Harlem.

"I thought Howard the Duck was the Caddy Shack 2 of bad moves." from Plan 9 from Outer Space. i'm still giggling about it like an idiot twenty minutes later. Sold.

sky's right about twilight. i know it's a big budget franchise, but it's just so ridiculous, it's prime for riffing - especially the first two. i just finished pirates of the caribbean and had forgotten how funny that one was as well. all the jokes about how flat keira knightley's chest is cracks me up.

I really like that they didn't go all out dirty for these. They keep it at a nice PG-13 level and I think it really works for the movies.
