She's not dead yet. I just wanted to get the first post.
Dear Joan, I loved you on the Tonight Show. Haven't kept up with you since. Obviously you've had a great and long career. R.I.P. Sky

RIP? But if she recovers aren't you going to feel stupid? But at her age I guess any recovery is temporary.

Grossly inappropriate to create a RIP topic before someone has passed.

I thought Joan Rivers was dead for years.
Or maybe her career was dead after being on Celebrity Apprentice. One or the other.
But in all seriousness I wish her a speedy recovery. Didn't she just have a scare on the operating table or something? I think I read that somewhere.

she went in for minor throat surgery at her doctor's office and went into cardiac arrest. they put her into an induced coma at the hospital and now she's on life support. i read the family is still hopeful she will pull out of it.
people seem to like or hate joan rivers - i have always liked her. she's mouthy and ballsy, but that is what kept her career going for as long as it has. i like tuning into her current show - fashion police on E sometimes, because she, with a few others, make fun of what the celebrities are wearing, and no one does that better than joan. i also like her for how she rips on herself, too. she was on an episode of louie and was really great. i hope she recovers, but she's 81. it could go either way.

The thread this topic is in is called "The Dead Talk Back". It's reserved for people who've "Died". Until otherwise I think this topic should be deleted or locked.

I thought Joan would appreciate the humor. I know its inappropriate. That's why I've lined up a trip to NYC to visit Joan. I'm bringing my pillow.

Considering the Admins of this board don't have a problem with it I really don't see what the problem is. Maybe dead people have a problem with us posting about them, who knows?

I don't personally have a problem with it, but I see notundercovercop32's point. This has remained a pretty serious sub-forum since it was created. I'd hate to see it devolve into Sloane territory.

Still kind of dead in here.

Sorry for "f"ing up this serious thread. NUC has a valid point. I think Joan Rivers would post such a thread if she were able. And was a fan of a long defunct puppet show.
