So... I just read this.I'm honestly not sure how to react. Part of me is saying "Ah, so Archie fans will get there own show? Good for them!" Another part of me, though, is saying "Woah now, there's no way I want to watch that kind of thing..." Then another part of me's like "Come on, you know you want to watch an episode or two. Just... see what it's like..." But I know that if I listen to this third part of me, a fourth part of me that really likes shows like Smallville will say "That was amazing, we need to watch this all the time." Or maybe the show'll be as laughably bad as the fifth part of me is saying. So... Live Action Archie TV Show. That might turn into a cross between Twin Peaks and/or Dawson's Creek/Smallville. So, basically it'll either be like Dawson's Creek with superpowers, or Smallville without superpowers. Unless Sabrina the Teenage Witch shows up, or characters from Archie's Weird Mysteries. Or maybe the darker parts of the world won't be supernatural at all, and they'll just be, well... dark. ...anyway, I'm conflicted knowing that this is a thing that is on the verge of existing.

Hmm... will it last one season or less? I can't think of another idea that has FAIL stamped on it as bad as this one. Unless they brought back Blondie and Dagwood.

If it's an Archie-only production, the law of diminishing returns on franchise adaptations dictates that it'll be a train wreck. Double that if it's Archie and Josie and the Pussycats. However, if Sabrina is involved, all bets are off since adaptations of her are all over the place in terms of success (the first couple of Filmation incarnations were successful, the third was part of the Archie show that killed the Filmation/Archie franchise, then the sitcom, then a series of diminishing returns with animated spin-offs of the sitcom, and most recently a series on The Hub that died because The Hub is/was a pathetic excuse for a cable network).
