Nice! I'd assume Shout releases the same DVDs to Canada as they do US in terms of packaging? I know some Canadian DVDs have French on the packaging.

Being in Canada, I've only ever purchased my sets from .ca and they are no different than the sets from .com.

Thanks a ton.
Interesting to see 2 lines of unfamiliar (for Americans) tax codes... "Estimated Tax (GST/HST)" and "Estimated Tax (PST/QST)"

GST = Government Sales Tax, HST= Harmonized Sales Tax (a combo of federal and provincial sales tax), PST= Provincial Sales Tax and QST Quebec Sales Tax. Here in Ontario we pay a 5% Federal and 8% Provincial sales tax for a total of 13% HST on everything we buy. Our dollar has taken such a beating I would never think of ordering from Amazon.com. The exchange is outrageous. I would think it's an even better deal for non-Canadians if they don't have to pay the tax.

Yep, this happened to me before when Amazon.ca had a ridiculous pre-order price (it was 24.99 when I posted this and now it's back to 44.99) Instead of getting a notice that my item has shipped today, i find there's a delay. Probably ran out. Oh well saving 20 bucks off the price is still worth it.

Ahh... same thing for me. Pre-ordered at the cheap Canada price, now it says preparing for shipment and the site listing says 1-2 week delay. Oh well, it is quite a savings and it works in my favor as I had to cut back on spending this month. Thankfully, Volume 1 should be releasing soon to Shout customers.
Edit: Whoop! Now its listed as out of stock.

From what i remember from before, it was a delay of one or two weeks (while they re-stocked). They should've known to stock up at that sale price.

So after getting my second shipping delay notice (it was supposed to be here by today) I wrote them a little love letter (not too nasty, just miffed). Got this reply:
Hello from Amazon.ca.
I am sorry that your order has been delayed because we do not have your item "Mystery Science Theater 3000 - XXXIII" in our inventory yet.
When a customer orders this item we normally obtain it from a supplier who can usually send it to us within the time frame originally listed on our site when you placed your order.
"Mystery Science Theater 3000 - XXXIII" has been proven to be a very popular item and has become a surprise sellout.
When you placed your order, we believed we had access to more copies. However, all of our suppliers have rapidly sold out of this item.
We have many customer orders for this item and we're waiting for more copies from our suppliers. We are filling orders as quickly as we can on a first-come, first-served basis.
Major distributors have thousands of copies on order from the publisher, awaiting the next print run. As soon as more copies become available, we'll be able to fulfill outstanding orders.
To make up for this inconvenience, I've upgraded your order to priority shipping at no additional charges for you.
However, I can assure you that we are working hard to obtain this item from our suppliers for you. As soon as we received the item from our suppliers, we will ship it to you at first priority to your address. You won't be charged until we ship it to you.
If it become available we'll revise the estimated shipping and delivery dates for your order. Upon update, we'll send you a confirmation e-mail confirming the date.
On the date of shipment, we'll send you an e-mail confirming the date, contents, and method of your shipment.
If you'd rather cancel your order due to this uncertainty, go to the URL below, sign in and click the "Need to cancel an item?" button:
In addition to a wide selection of items, one of our aims at Amazon.ca is to provide a convenient and efficient service; in this case, we have not met that standard.
Again, I am truly sorry that we were not able to fulfill your expectations for this level of service. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to prove the quality of our service to you.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Best regards, Sathish G.
In a way it's comforting to know that MST3K is a big seller. So many other series suffer from poor sales and are dis-continued. Oh well, good things come to those who wait.......... I still saved 20 bucks.

That just sounds like an automated reply. "Thousands of copies"?, not sure if it's that popular. I'll keep waiting and see, they are bound to get the item in stock at some point.

Hooray, just got a shipping notice! It's giving the estimate as Friday despite going from Canada to the US. Wonder if they upgraded the shipping because of the delay.
