Theodore Bikel, who played Tevye and Col. Von Trapp in the Broadway editions of The Fiddler on the Roof and The Sound of Music died in California ay the age of 91. Bikel was nominated for his work as a sheriff in The Defiant Ones and guest starred in such TV shows as JAG, Columbo, Gunsmoke and Star Trek: The Next Generation, he also recorded 37 albums. Oh, great, so now Worf's an orphan again?! Lately we've been losing a lot of fine actors who've lived (and, in some cases, continued to work) long into their 90s... Christopher Lee, Patrick Macnee, Theodore Bikel, Ernest Borgnine some time back. When someone like that dies at such a ripe old age, the common tendency is for someone to say, "Well, they lived a rich, long life." At the same time, though... well, darn.

Great actor, with many memorable rolls. Especially in The Twilight Zone. Season 3, episode #29 "Four O'Clock" Rest Well Sir...
