Wow, I almost didn't know this was happening. I went to update a game I hadn't played in a long time, and it told me that I needed to check an old email address that I've not checked in a while to verify that it's me, and when I went to check that email address I saw the notice about Miami Connection.
So... I'm totally going to see this tonight at the Cinemark in Valparaiso, Indiana. How about everyone else?

Wish I were seeing it. I haven't been to a live one since Plan 9, but it was so much fun I cringe at missing them whenever they come up. And the little clips I've seen make it look like it will be gold for the guys to riff. Do they always do these on Thursdays? It seems like it, and Thursdays are not great days for me

The only comment I've seen regarding that is a note from them saying that weekends "aren't doable" or something. Having said that... the encore broadcast will be this coming Tuesday during (I think) the same timeslot. So, if you can't make the actual Live show, perhaps you can make the follow-up on Tuesday?

I suppose theaters aren't as willing to give up a theater for an RT live show on the weekend when they may very well draw more people with typical movie fare.
Tuesdays are definitely better, but I'd be pretty conscious about it being recorded, not live. Seeing it live is really the point!

Going to the Tinseltown in Layton, Utah where I usually do.
I'm not as interested in RiffTrax as I used to be and haven't really cared to see the other live shows they've planned this year, but the 80s kung-fu cheesyness of this one just looks too good for me to pass up.

I'll be in a theater in Wilmington, NC. Haven't missed one yet, either in the live audience or simulcast. I hope our crappy weather doesn't interfere with the satellite transmission.

It almost affected us. There was a slight delay and the manager had to come in warning us that if things continued we'd get free passes as a refund(since that actually happened at the last live showing they tried to show at that theater according to the manager).

We were lucky. No problems. Unfortunately our show wasn't well attended. Too bad because I think it ranks near the top of their live shows. Our small audience laughed their asses off. Pun intended.

I wish I could find that Measurement Man short online.

Saw the show where I usually do: Century 16 Theaters in Deer Park IL. Good crowd, and the Measurement Man short was funny(and creepy at the same time...got to love the 70's). The movie was wonderfully goofy and i found my foot tapping to the songs. Now I want to join a taekwondo orphan band.

Great show! I thought the short was okay, but the movie was cheesetastic! Even when they weren't riffing, the movie itself was hilariously bad.
TOUGH GUYS!

Laughed and laughed and laughed. This film achieved Maximum Florida. All that was missing was Karate-chopping an alligator.
The Measuring Man short was creepy in the most delightful, unconscious way that only the seventies could achieve.
I adore these "labor of love" films where the budget was clearly whatever the producers scrounged up from selling their Atari playstation to their neighbors. So many locals being filmed without permission! So clearly somebody's actual house! The plethora; nay, the cornucopia of bad acting flavors! Sentient block of wood? Badly programmed robot? Pauses as though the script were written by Bizarro World Harold Pinter? This one had 'em all!

I've missed the last couple of Rifftrax Live events and I've arrived late to a few others; has that cartoony introduction thing been a staple of their shows for a while? I liked it, but was surprised.
I thought the movie itself had a bit of a slow start but was otherwise very nicely done. I love how needlessly violent these gangs were over not getting the job they wanted.

That "Measurement Man" short was really ripe for the picking for RiffTrax, LOL. I especially loved the part where they pointed out how bad it was for MM to have those objects around his belt like that. I laughed so hard!
As for "Miami Connection", it actually wasn't as bad to me, IMO, but seeing it riffed was still a lot more funnier and entertaining.
