If we have a similar decrease tomorrow, it would still be good for $200,000, which would fling us past the 75% mark. My guess is that the limited number of eps is a shoo-in to get funded, with the full season being the open question.

Looks like someone's previous prediction of around 200,000 for today looks pretty spot on. 2,000,000 seems like a safe bet, but I'm skeptical about the higher goals. That said, Turkey Day and the announcement of the cast could lead to some hefty spikes.
If the Felicia Day and Jonah Ray rumors are true, I'd expect a huge bump from their fans.

Joel's teased on Twitter and Reddit about MULTIPLE Turkey Day Marathons. Not sure how that'd work, but I assume it would be to increase the amount of time the fundraiser gets a Turkey Day bump.

Got an email from the kickstarter campaign. Can't copy and paste it all here, but at the end Joel says he has "something fun" to tell us tomorrow. The new host and mads, I guess! And he also says that he hasn't invited any mst3k alums yet, because he wasn't sure if the funding would be there.

I have no question the new one will not be as good as the original. However, it could still be really good, and it could mean new shows for years if enough interest is out there. Obviously they can't crowdfund for years, they would need some kind of network backing. I never saw the show when it was on tv, it was never on in my part of the world (or I was too cheap to pay for cable), so seeing new shows along with everyone else would be cool.

I have to say I have had a lot of reservations since I heard about this. But Joel's update really helped a lot--especially the budget breakdown. Also, the mere fact that he is not attempting to sweep fans' worries aside and is instead answering the questions directly and honestly adds a lot of integrity to the whole project--for me, anyway.

Day 3: Success! We've hit $1.5 million and crossed the 75% mark! About $230,000 was raised today, which is a solid 49% decrease from yesterday, better than I anticipated, to be honest.
Tomorrow will be interesting, because we have no idea if we've reached a steady flow or if the drop will continue. If it continues, tomorrow will bring in over $100,000, and anything less will be a disappointment (especially with our goal being so close yet so far). But let's hope those pledges keep coming. And with Joel's pending announcement tomorrow, maybe interest will spike a bit.

Neil Patrick Harris should be in on this too, he's a MSTie.

At 72 hours, they've raised ~$1,593,000.

If they hit $5.5 million and a dozen episodes are produced, that blu-ray box set is a really sweet deal given the typical four episode DVD set from Shout sells for around $50. The breakdown would be $16.60 per episode on blu-ray, and that doesn't even take into account all the other rewards the $200 level brings (mug, shirt, postcards, stickers, digital copy, etc).
If the episode count increases as the campaign goes on, I could see a lot of fans springing for that $200 tier as it makes the blu-ray set all the better a deal. Which in turn would increase the money raised even more.
--
Makes me wonder what a retail set would cost? I could see Shout selling episodes as either a box set if the episode count is low or as multiple box sets if its high. I could also see them releasing each episode as its own release for around $20.

I think the numbers today will be pretty good. 150K-200k. Remember, it's payday for a lot of people!

Crowdfunding usually draws a lot of money at the very beginning and near the end. I would be somewhat surprised if they don't hit the six episodes tier.

I've never spent more than $50 on a Kickstarter...but I figured I'd buy the blurays anyway when they were out, so why not just go in at the $200 lvl.
Also, at the very least, it looks like today is in for less of a drop than yesterday as the campaign is already sneaking up on 100k for the day.
