Heck, I wouldn't mind re-riffing of two Season One episodes: Robot Holocaust and The Slime People. Two perfect movies for MST3K, and ones that would be better served by fuller riffing (since The Brains were still deep in 'figuring this out' mode).

A lot of people bring this up and I wouldn't disagree per se. But, then I have no problem with the current versions. I kind of like the slower paced riffing in some of the older eps. To me, Slime People is a 4+ star ep as it is.

I might do a "Likelihood for KTMA Episodes to Get Released" list just for fun, but honestly I don't see SF EVER releasing those. Not just because of Joel & Co. firmly saying "NO" and possible legal issues... the episodes themselves aren't worth more than a historical curiosity to most casual fans. It would be cool to see another "Glimpse of the KTMA Days" extra though. There are quite a few KTMA films I'd like to see RE-riffed! Especially SST-DEATH FLIGHT. Now these are the kind of suggestions Joel probably wants from the fan base about ideas for the reboot. Re-riffing old KTMA, or old movies that they wanted to riff but couldn't clear the rights. The nice thing now is they will be obtaining rights to movies for streaming and physical release, so no more unreleasable movies!!! Joel has used my movie suggestions before (for Cinematic Titanic). I'm REALLY curious to what films the reboot ends up using, and if this relationship with Shout! Factory is going to make the finding/licensing-films aspect a lot easier.

I'd expect Shout Factory to have a KTMA MST3K streaming-only marathon before I ever expected them to release them on DVD.
And I still don't exactly expect them to do even that.
