It goes without saying that I'd like every reward on the Kickstarter. Especially since TV writing is one of my goals (alongside regular novel writing and short story writing), being able to put a few lines into MST3K would be a dream. It's not exactly realistic for me to even imagine putting that kind of money on it (and that's not counting how scarce some of those rewards are since some of them are only available a handful of times.) Having said that... If I could reasonably increase my donation by a factor of ten, I could comfortably reach that limited edition VHS tape. ...so help me, I really want that VHS tape. I don't know why. I just... it feels like a treasure. And that's ignoring the fact that, as Joel says, it's probably gonna be the most sought-after VHS of 2016. Anyway... that's my wishlist. I'd like to write a riff or two, and I'd like that VHS tape. I'll be more than happy with what I *do* get, though. So, how about you guys? Anything got you fiscally drooling?

That VHS was definitely one of the most interesting prizes there. I think they're trying to evoke the feeling of old tape trading. They definitely put a lot of thought into that one.
I'm just going for the blu-ray set. I can't afford much more because of the holidays, but I'm content with it.

I'm hoping that I'll get an uncharacteristically large check with my next paycheck. It should allow me to both pay rent *and* up my pledge a bit, though I'm not holding my breath. The blu-ray set would be nice...
And, yeah, the tape trading feeling was definitely strong with that reward tier.

When the Kickstarter was first announced, I posted the link on my Facebook wall. The first friend who responded is a MST hater who wrote, "I don't think this has any reason to exist." It was then that I wanted to start my own Kickstarter campaign, one dedicated to raising enough money for the $6500 obscure riff tier so I could claim it, and have the chance to make a joke at my friend's expense. And for every additional $500 raised, I would make the riff more elaborate by also mocking things he loves.

I'd want to invite the friend over to hear it.

I'm at the blu ray/dvd level, but I'm sincerely thinking about upping to the signed poster level. Gonna see how I'm doing after Christmas shopping.

All Right. Time for me to admit that I am a selfish prick.
I wasn't going to donate to the Kickstarter campaign until Joel offered the 3 movie downloads last week. For some crazy stupid reason, I imagined that those episodes would be unreleased episodes. I can't imagine why I thought that, as with the more recent offer of 3 more episodes, it is clear that they are going to be episodes that I already own on DVD (as I have the entire set).
However, the more recent offer of KTMA episodes has caused me to up my bid to the $200 level (plus, I get the Blu Rays). I am still a selfish prick, but at least I am honest about it...

Don You're not selfish, it is asking a lot to contribute to something when you won't see the reward for possibly 2 years (the Blu-rays).

Don Yeah, I'm with fhqwhgads. You're not being selfish, you're just donating what you want. There's nothin' wrong with that. Having said that, I'm super excited that you bumped the reward up to the $200 level. Also... I'm holding onto hope that the six episodes Joel releases will be ones that I've not got for myself yet. Most of the sci-fi era episodes will be out, and a few sporadic collections are also in my collection, but most of the episodes from seasons one to six (and honestly a good chunk of season 8) are still out of my reach. I'm hoping for some of those... on the other hand, Joel said he'd pick "good ones" and part of my brain thinks that the good ones may already be the ones on video, increasing the likelihood that I'll have 'em. Either way, though... it'll be nice to see what episodes we get.

The add-on program might make it easier to get some of those higher-up rewards, but I could see why the VHS might not be included in it. It's the first package that's limited, and every package after that includes it is also limited. I'm not sure what the total is, but it seems like they have maybe around 3,000 packages available for it, with most of those being for the $250 and $300 packages. All of the other physical rewards are probably going to be mass-produced until everyone has theirs (and then they might sell extras on the website afterwards).
I honestly just wish I had enough to attend one of the premiers.

I got the tape. It took me a bit to think on it, but it's a great nod to the old school MSTies.
I got two sticker add-ons and a name in the credits.
If I could buy a vial of Joel's sweat, I would have done that, too.

Well, the financial situation of the coming week took its toll on me. I downgraded from the $35 pledge to the $10 pledge. So... sadly, I won't get the six classic episodes to download... or the second Rifftrax download... or the chance to be at the live stream of the premiere... or digital download of the first episode when it comes out... ...but dangit, I'm gonna have that membership card! Oh, and the Rifftrax download.

I wonder if we'll get to keep our old membership numbers? I still remember my old number, and I got that when I was 9, which is funny because nowadays I can't even remember my own phone number sometimes.
