I'm still kind of on Cloud Nine about this, like you guys wouldn't believe. And here I thought Matthew J. Elliott, Ian Potter, and Alan Bagh were going to be my biggest "get."

All that money from Public Pearl bought us the correct time, space, and a castle! Let's housewarm by stripping to our undies and convincing Lembach to stay! It's The Projected Man, today's new review! Also, new review of Volume XXX! XXX? Is it as NSFW as it sounds? Next Time: And the Oscar goes to...

I'm going to be covering something a bit different with my next reviews. I've considered something for a little while, but didn't think it fit the criteria of my blog. Finally I said the hell with it, it's my blog and I'll do what I want.
Anyway, get ready for something fun coming up soon. Multiple reviews will be up at the same time.

Okay folks, I'm ready to unveil a new section of my blog dedicated to The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs. I've been considering it for a little while because I was a Joe Bob fan while I was an MST fan when I was a teenager and he helped groom my love for bad cinema. Now that both he and MST are back, I'm in heaven. But I was hesitant about adding him to the site because he's not a riffer, but finally I came to the conclusion that I can write about whatever the hell I want and everyone else can deal with it. I've started out by reviewing the first two movies of his original marathon. Get ready for some Texas Chainsaw Mannequin, because it's Tourist Trap! And Joe Bob follows it up with a camp counselor bloodbath and the infamous twist ending of Sleepaway Camp! I was also lucky enough to be able to watch this weekend's double feature live, and if those want to follow my live tweet storms during these airings can follow me @1godzillafan on Twitter. This week Joe Bob watched on of his most recent movies, the New Zealand Evil Dead homage of heavy metal DEATHGASM. He then followed the blood and guts up with subtle atmosphere as we switched things up with The Changeling! For the record, I'm going to breeze through Joe Bob's Shudder output before I get back to MST. MST isn't going anywhere, but episodes of Joe Bob are already disappearing from Shudder and I want to get through them before I lose anymore. As of right now I can't review The Prowler, The Legend of Boggy Creek, and Phantasm: RaVager, but hopefully if Shudder regains the rights they'll put them back up. Plus having Joe Bob back is too much fun, and I'm totally addicted right now!

Rifftrax Live is back with the first of three live shows this year! Get ready for some killer calomari, as the mutant Octaman surfaces with his delicious, cheesy taste! The bar has been set with what I feel was the most fun Live show since Samurai Cop!

MAY THE 4TH BE WITH ME! Not you. Because I'm going Solo this year. Solo: A Star Wars Story, that is. Last year I watched every Star Wars Rifftrax there was, except this one since it wasn't out yet. It's time to give it it's due! HAPPY STAR WARS DAY! And once you get back from the galaxy far, far away and return to this great country, remind yourself What It Means to Be an American with today's BONUS SHORT! (PS, I know I promised more Last Drive-In entries, but my internet service went down and so far it hasn't been fixed. I'm working on a few, but it's a pain when you can only stream via phone. And people wonder why I hate streaming.)

It's been a while since I've done my previous Last Drive-In update, but that's mostly due to internet issues. But I've sucked it up and accepted that I was destined to watch Joe Bob on my phone. But because of the internet issues I missed out on logging Daughters of Darkness, which was removed from Shudder a week ago. I'm kind of pissed about that, since I love me some lesbian vampire movies. But without further adeau, here are the entries I was working on before everything went nuts. They're now ready for all to read! First, David Cronenberg brings us the chilling horror tale of the armpit vampire. It's Rabid! Up next, a magical creature uses your own desires against you in this horror sex comedy. No it's not Hobgoblins, it's the imp of Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama! Third, don't laugh at the tale. Heed if you call him. The legend lives, beware the Madman Marz. The Madman legend is real! And finally, Space Chief himself, Sonny Chiba, is the most kickass werewolf this side of Lon Chaney Jr. As he plays Wolf Guy: Enraged Lycanthrope! For the record, things are looking up for my internet access, which likely means I can keep up with further Friday night double features in the future. Too bad there are only three left! Hopefully Shudder orders more!

Ahead of tonight's live stream of The Last Drive-In's latest double feature, here are the latest batch of reviews from Joe Bob's first marathon. First up: Joe Bob introduces us to the Godfather of Gore, as Monster A-Go Go producer Herschel Gordon Lewis brings us what is considered the very first splatter film, Blood Feast! And yes, it delivers on the title. Up next: The movie that is like Joe Bob's conjoined twin, because wherever he goes, it follows! What's in the basket? Open it and find out, because it's Basket Case! Finally: We got a major cult classic rising from the grave! Jeffery Combs and the disembodied head of David Gale (as the head that gives head) star in the beloved 80's classic, Re-Animator! Stay tuned in a few days for my reviews of tonight's movies, whatever they might be! And if you have Twitter, you can follow my live tweeting of the event at @1godzillafan, or follow the other tweet storms by following the hashtags #TheLastDriveIn, #DriveInMutants, or #MutantFam. Or check out Darcy the Mail Girl's retweeting at @kinky_horror until she inevitably gets blocked by Twitter (like she does every week) and has to use Joe Bob's own account at @therealjoebob. Hope to see you there!

It's Mother's Day! What a better way to celebrate than reliving this weekend's double feature from The Last Drive-In! What? Darcy's a mom. It counts. First off we have the Italian Alien knock-off Contamination, with less spaceships and more dubbing. This one is from the director of Starcrash and writer of Devil Fish, so check it out! Up next, Joe Bob throws an artsy film at us for all the hipsters. It's a vampire love story without sparkles or Kristen Stewart, and it's called A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night! Let us accompany her, shall we? Stay tuned, more Joe Bob to come! And I'll see you all on next week's double feature!

Ahead of this weekend's trip to The Last Drive-In, I'm here to offer three more reviews from Joe Bob's first marathon, likely to be my last unless Shudder regains the rights to the missing three. C'mon Shudder. You don't want to keep a MSTie away from the original Boggy Creek, do you? First up, the ultimate meta experience of watching movie about watching a movie...that possesses people. Devil Shark's Lamberto Bava presents Demons! Next up, it's the horror classic that will TEAR YOUR SOUL APART! Face off with Pinhead in Hellraiser! Finally, Joe Bob is violently apposed to the random killing and mutilation of women unless it's necessary to the plot. From the director of Pod People, it's Pieces! Stay tuned for reviews of tomorrow's double feature, and follow me on Twitter @1godzillafan for a live tweeting of it!

Another exquisite night of pristine filmmaking has been celebrated this week, with the knowledgeable guidance of Joeseph Robert Briggsinton and Darceleen, Madaam of the Postal Service. Two new pieces of critical analysis of The Last Drive-In are up now! First off, just can't get enough! Feast your eyes on the deliciousness that will kill you, in the biting (all these puns are intended) social satire of The Stuff! We conclude with another excellent course, as we dine on chicken straight from a hobo's pants with a side of dismembered penis. And waiter! I'll have a glass of Viper please, and leave the bottle. It's Street Trash! Stay tuned this week for a pair of Rifftrax reviews! Also, look forward to write-ups of Joe Bob's second marathon, Dinners of Death, starting this week!

HOT TAKE ALERT! I don't like Game of Thrones. What a better way to celebrate the by all accounts largely dissapointing finale than by putting myself in the line of fire of fan rage as I review the Rifftrax versions of "Winter is Coming" and "The Rains of Castermere" (AKA The Red Wedding). Okay, you may fire when ready. But also know that there are TWO BONUS SHORTS! Learn a pair of moral lessons as we see the great Aesop fable come to life, Frozen Frolics, and what is just as much of an Aesop fable in Ten Long Minutes.

The MST3K Comic run has ended, long live MST Comics! Pick up the final issue of "Devil Claws" and see Tom Servo, Teen Reporter solve the mystery, Jonah go on one last adventure with Black Cat, and Crow become "The One!"
