Really have been looking forward to this one but turns out I won't be able to make the live broadcast. First one I've missed. I'm going to do the replay on the 15th.

Though hey, at least its a movie that is certain to be on VOD and DVD in the future. I can't claim to have seen every live show (I missed Reefer Madness, Jack the Giant Killer, Starship Troopers, Godzilla, Anaconda and Sharknado 2) but I've made it a point to buy as many as the DVDs as I can from past shows and catch as many live events as I can. There is something about the Rifftrax Christmas content that makes it extra special for me, so I am really excited for the upcoming event. I was actually at a local poster shop with my dad and we came across an original folded theater poster for Ice Cream Bunny. It was around $50 but in amazing shape. Didn't buy it (but I did buy an original poster for Squirm for $15).

For the first half dozen shows, board member Blue Raja and I split driving 3 1/2 hours each way. After he moved on to second banana heaven I started driving two hours each way to meet my son. I could go but he's off on a business trip. I want to see it with him. So I'll wait.

Have fun, Crowfan. And anyone else who makes it tonight. I might not look at this again until after the 15th.

This was a GREAT show! The shorts went perfect with the movie, which is one big helping of "WTF?" I can't believe they found a print of this movie, let alone an alternate version. The Jack and the Bean Stock segment has to be seen to be believed. My wife and I had a glorious time.

The riffing was hilarious, but the movie and the shorts were...um...uh...well...oh, dear. You'll just have to see them yourself.
And Bill looked great with a beard.

It's not fair that so many movies are lost, yet this one somehow survived. Live riffing was heads and tails much superior than the original Rifftrax.
Those shorts...I'm absolutely astounded they found ANYTHING that was just as weird as the movie.

Really have been looking forward to this one but turns out I won't be able to make the live broadcast. First one I've missed. I'm going to do the replay on the 15th. Ah man, do NOT miss the rebroadcast. I thought Miami Connection had hit Maximum Florida but this bizarre and unholy creature far outstripped it. Pretty typical Rifftrax...almost wet my pants, laugh-cried all my eye makeup down my face, inadvertently terrorized the woman next to me...ahhh, perfection. The apparent theme this time was "find shorts/movie that were clearly shot as wraparounds for existing and horrific home movie footage, using props/costumes/"actors" so cheap that Larry Buchanan would be ashamed to put his name to the finished product, then store in a moldy basement for a year before sending out onto the second run drive in theater circuit." I was blown away to discover black and white cannot disguise the use of somebody's rec room for a set, or that gluing brick print wallpaper to a ten year old's face was considered a legit costuming choice. It could all be summed up as "Texas Chainsaw Massacre without the courage of its convictions." The accidental side effect of absolute horror kept cropping up--the Santa in Santa's Magic Village laughing and bobbing until you were convinced he was mere seconds away from lunging at a child's throat; the dragging of confused, irked quadrupeds across hot sand by ten year old children who are perilously close to being kicked/bitten; the clear drunkenness of Santa broiling away in the hot sun; the use of scrub wasteland because there was no need of any of those pesky "filming permits" while terrorized raccoons clawed at the eyes of a boy... there wasn't one second of Satre-esque Nausea that went unfilmed.

The giant nearly stole the show from the Ice Cream Bunny.
In a loud low gruff angry voice:
I SMELL SOMETHING!!!
WHERE'S MY FOOD!!!
CREEPY CRAWLEYS!!!
In a happy higher pitched sing-song voice:
Fe fi fo fum I smell the blood of an engishman!

Saw the encore tonight.
I never thought I would see a movie more ineptly made than Manos. Boy, was I wrong! I was suffering laugh fatigue halfway through. To think I was living in Florida when this thing was made!
The shorts were also a little slice of "what the hell"? Thanks to MFT3K's fan vid of the Mexican Little Red Riding Hood movie, (another K. Gordon Murray import) I'm all too familiar with Stinky the skunk and the wolf. The costumes here are actually worse than originals.
