For the final stretch, they've added a bunch of new stretch goals based on the number of backers:
kickstarter.com/projects/rifftrax/rifftrax-live-2016-mst3k-reunion-time-chasers-live/posts/1539183
The most interesting one to me is (unfortunately) also the highest tier - if they get to 10,000 backers, they'll do a new "3-riffer" commentary on Road House. I love the Mike-only one, but I always wanted to hear a version with Mike, Kevin, and Bill playing off each other.
So if you haven't pledged, go do so - since it's based only on the number of people pledging rather than money, you only have to pledge $1, and with that pledge you get a ton of already unlocked free stuff (11 riffed shorts, the Mary Jo/Bridget Gravity riff) plus the other free riffs that are unlocked if the numbers are met.

When they first posted the new stretch goals, I groaned because it seemed unlikely we could double our backer count in 24 hours. Yet only a few hours later and we've already unlocked almost 3 of the new stretch goals.
With a little more kick, they could reach 10,000 backers in time.
They're also going to have a live-stream tomorrow night on Periscope before the campaign ends.

I'm wondering where all the extra money is going towards.

I haven't watched much RiffTrax stuff in a few years. Not that I don't enjoy their product; it is more about having more stuff to watch then I have time to watch stuff.
The reason that I bring it up is that I jumped in to support this Kickstarter campaign specifically because I wanted to make sure that the Reunion occurred and that I got a copy. I suspect that some of the other 10K supporters were similarly motivated.

I still want to know what all the extra money is going towards before I back it.

I'm sorry, but I blew all of my money on the first one, I wasn't expecting a second perfect kickstarter to invest in.

I still want to know what all the extra money is going towards before I back it. They had a section on this on the Kickstarter page: WHAT IF WE GET EXTRA MONEY, PAST OUR GOAL? We raised past our goal in our last three Kickstarter projects, and all of the money collected went towards getting the rights to the movies (plus getting additional movies to riff live), top notch production of the event itself, and in creating and fulfilling rewards. It will be no different this time around. Making these shows a reality costs meaningfully more than our base goal, and so if we raise more money, it will go towards movie acquisition costs for two more shows this year, better production values, and towards all the awesome rewards. And perhaps you know that since RiffTrax started offering Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes, we have been giving a portion of sales to all the MST principal cast members. RiffTrax will put a meaningful portion of all additional proceeds beyond our Kickstarter goal into this same pool. With all that being said... THANK YOU! We have the best fans in the world, and we know how lucky we are. This summer marks our 10th birthday at RiffTrax - we couldn't have done it without our fans, and we sincerely thank you for your support over these many years. We can't wait to make you laugh even more during 2016 - so join us for RiffTrax Live!
