Hey all. Thanx for checking out this thread and hopefully in turn, our project.
About a year ago a fellow MSTie buddy of mine (John) that I know from the internet, reached out on our MST Facebook group for like minded people who wanted to try their hand at riffing. Myself and another internet MSTie friend, Dan, responded and "The Film Quips" were born. Granted it took a while to get all the logistics ironed out from how 3 people from completely different areas of the country (USA) could write, record, produce, edit and direct a project like this all the way to choosing our comedy trio name and production company name. But we got it all situated and have made 4 episodes of us riffing on shorts in the past year. We're currently working on episode 105 which is a slightly longer short (25 min) than the previous episodes (approximately 11-15 min each) and we are planning on trying our luck with a full length film soon, possibly as soon as our next episode 106.
Everything we do is free. Even if iRiffs was allowing new riffs to be added I don't think we would want to sell them. We feel fortunate enough that people enjoy our comedy which is all the payment we need. We are still in the first year/season of our project so please bear that in mind. We put on a GoFundMe fund raiser before making episode 104 to obtain better microphones with tremendous success.
Anyway, I hope some of you will give us a shot and check out our comedy riffing project "The Film Quips" (links and the trailer for our first episode 101 below). Thanx!
