I know way back when whenever Mike, Joel, Kevin, Trace, ect would have a project lined up, we'd be all over it in here. And since Shout Factory are the new Best Brains, we should have a news topic keeping tabs on potentially interesting Shout Factory news, products, and announcements. Got the new Transformers: Robots in Disguise set? Post here! Can't wait for Super Sentai Ohranger? That can go here too! Gushing about Scream Factory blu-rays? This is your place? To kick us off, it looks like MST isn't the only original production Shout is working on... www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/690387-boxcar-children-movieShout seems to be aiming high with an animated Boxcar Children film franchise. These films will likely be very cheap, but considering Shout is looking for a theatrical distribution, I thought it was interesting to note that they're branching out to the big screen. I used to read Boxcar Children when I was very young. Haven't read one in decades, but I remember it very fondly. Hopefully the films turn out well.

Seems like MST3K is part of a larger plan at Shout! I just hope they put as much love in these original productions as they do in their classic releases.

I don't know what's happening. He's obviously trolling and trying to rustle some jimmies.

Why didn't he do it in a thread more active than this one?
When you fail at trolling, you fail t life.

I thought this forum was troll-free. Guess not.

Oh boy, this guy again.
Pro-tip to the mods here: Keep an eye on anyone who joins with the name "Dusty Strait" or something similar. He's been trying to troll MSTies on Facebook for a while now.

I thought this forum was troll-free. Guess not. For as often as we get them, it might as well be. Compared to the rest of the Internet this place is a paradise.

Okay, let's try and bring this thread back on topic. Here is some news of that Boxcar Children movie Torgo mentioned months back.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but some interesting news popped up. Scream Factory will be releasing the elusive found footage flick THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES on DVD/Blu-ray in October. Details are right here.

I've been wondering for years if that movie would ever be released. I remember waiting impatiently for both it and Cabin in the Woods after the MGM fallout. The latter eventually got released (and was massively disappointing, but that's just me), but this one was always just tucked away in a vault.
Years later, the director who made it has made a lot of crap, so my interest has dwindled but I might check it out because I was so curious after I saw the trailer with The Mist so many years ago.
