The actor who played Chekov in the rebooted Star Trek movies has died in a car crash. He was only 27. So sad. I liked him as Chekov (sp?). I also liked him in the remake of Fright Night.

That awkward moment when you realize the original Chekov is in is 80s and still kicking when the new one passed all too soon. I've usually enjoyed him in whatever I've seen him in. May watch Odd Thomas in his memory. That ending where his girlfriend is a ghost and he won't let her leave will be even more bittersweet now.

Sad to hear this. However I doubt it will affect any subsequent Star Trek movies. Characters get recast, there's no business like show business.

I didn't know he was killed by his own car. It rolled down the driveway and pinned him to a wall where his mailbox was. So sad, that's so preventable. It only takes a moment to be distracted and something like that could happen.

Then I guess it wasn't something he failed to do when he got out of the car. What's with all the recalls of cars lately (of various makes)? They are just schlopping these things together, cutting corners all over the place, it's pretty scary.
