I suspect there will still be cuts. Some movies will probably be cut for content and others because there just wasn't anything funny to say in that scene. Maybe the episodes will be 97 minutes like the early Comedy Central years.

I think the 92-97 minute runtime is still ideal. Anything longer runs the risk of being "too much". I could see standard episodes being ~92 minutes, and bigger episodes/specials being ~97 minutes.

I hope they are just as long as they need to be. I'd like to see uncut movies and whatever the script calls for in terms of story, be it short segments or extended scenes.

Damn, I was hoping they'd air it on the Dumont Network or UPN.

But this probably means all the episodes will be put up at once, which kills the "next week!" anticipation that I always loved about the show. Yes, a 1000 X this. I also read that Mary Jo, Bill, and Kevin will be reprising their roles as well! Totally cool! The selection there could be coincidence, but either way its pretty likely this means actual host segments connecting Season 10 to 11. It makes you think Mike might even sneak in there for a quick cameo. I wonder if Kevin and Bill will briefly play the bots before 'updating.' Would be totally cool. There are shows that post weekly instead of the whole season. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that was one of the conditions Joel insists upon, considering how often he mentioned it during the campaign. Yay! I didn't know that, that gives me hope. I suspect there will still be cuts. Some movies will probably be cut for content and others because there just wasn't anything funny to say in that scene. Maybe the episodes will be 97 minutes like the early Comedy Central years. Plus Joel has said that this continuation is going to continue the family friendly mostly PG-ish level that the old show had. Which I like a lot. Not just cuz I want to watch with my kids, but because I personally think that level is the most entertaining. Pretty exciting news all around. I do notice though that this is all MUCH more exciting than anything they've told us Kickstarter backers. I think the whole Kickstarter reward of exclusive info and behind-the-scenes stuff is a big bust. (*Obviously the whole KS thing as a way to bring back MST3K was and is a total success!)

Just dropped Netflix two days ago! Didn't watch it enough. Even though I'm getting the Blu-ray I'll resubcribe when it airs. I think its a great arrangement for both parties and bodes well for long term success.

Silly question. Backers are still getting their Blu-Rays/DVDs before the release on Netflix, right? I'll gladly shell out for a month if not - just curious as to how that's supposed to work.

Backers weren't getting DVDs and Blu-rays until mid-2017 at the earliest. The prize package made a clear note about this.

They haven't said yet. I imagine it's going to be on Netflix before the Blu-ray/DVDs come out, but I'm hoping they'll let backers get access to the live premiers and DRM-free downloads first. I'm sure they'll cover that in the next update. I think I will try to subscribe to Netflix for a month and watch the show on it too, if only to show support for more seasons.

As someone who has never used Netflix, and never had any interest until now, I have a question.
On this board, and at Satellite News I keep hearing people talking about streaming the new episodes. I was always under the impression that with Netflix, you get mailed a copy of whatever episode or movie (on DVD or blu-ray) to your home.
The idea of screaming kind of puts me off a little. Watching an episode on my computer.... instead of my TV....

Watching an episode on my computer.... instead of my TV.... When Netflix started, it was a mail service. Now it is predominantly streaming. And a lot of newer TVs are equipped with web services that will allow you to access Netflix. Ditto Blu Ray players and a bunch of other devices. I use my Wii U. Do you have wireless internet?

Netflix still offers a disc service (which I prefer - a physical Blu-Ray (and often DVD) is usually superior to even the best streaming quality). But the new series are streaming-exclusive. Most modern video game consoles support it - 360, Wii, PS3 and all the newer ones if I'm not mistaken. Just need to connect that system to the internet, link it to your Netflix account, and you're golden.

You can also get a Chromecast for about $25, which lets you stream things on from smart phone.

I recommend Roku. Connect it to your TV and you just add "channels" to it like Netflix, ShoutFactory, Amazon, PBS, PlutoTV, etc etc.
