Well, folks, it's been 27 conversations since the last time we talked about NaNoWriMo, so it's high time we did so again! And good timing, too, since Halloween was yesterday.
Anyone else doing it this month? I'm wrestling with which of my ideas to start with. I keep leaning toward a sort of space swashbuckler thing set on a colonized Mars in a nation that's being recently settled by colonists who are there with the permission of the Martian Emperor.

Wow. It's been a long time since anyone's discussed writing on here. 2016?
Anyway, if there are any aspiring writers out there who have Zoom - there's a free writer's discussion class or symposium whatever you want to call it on Eventbrite, if anyone is so inclined. There are different dates on there and times(EDT), and, like I said, free, but they only allow so many people on one Zoom session so they do sell out.
I don't have Zoom or I would see what it's all about, but just thought I'd give a heads up to anyone out there who likes to write and discuss writing and share ideas.
If you go to Eventbrite it's called Fiction Writer's Power Hour.
There are other writing, arts and craft and gardening classes on there also (not all of them are free).

I think I *have* discussed writing on here since then, but I don't think there was a dedicated NaNoWriMo thread for it. But yeah, that sounds cool! Somehow I've gone this entire pandemic without using Zoom. I should probably try it someday.

Actually, I meant "here" on this particular thread.
