I've yet to miss a Rifftrax broadcast. I take the evening off, head out , and laugh myself ten years younger. So tonight's rebroadcast of the shorts and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians shouldn't have been any different.
Except.
I went to log on and check out getting my tickets at the theater a few blocks away and guess what? NO RIFFTRAX!
I double/triple checked, and the only theaters showing it are over in Montlake Terrace and Redmond, miles away!
What the heck? Did a deal fall through? Is this a one time thing because it's a double feature? Will I ever see Rifftrax Live again?
So if anybody's in the Seattle area and planning to go, I've got gas money and don't take up much room. This was a shock and a bummer; is anybody else experiencing theater change?

I went tonight (just got home) and something was definitely weird. I walked in about 10 minutes before showtime and the screen was blank. Now keep in mind lol that absolutely every Rifftrax broadcast I've been too, their pre-show laughfest is in full swing long before showtime. Not tonight. Blank screen. Worry. Showtime...still blank screen. But then, PRESTO...at about 3 minutes past showtime, the boys magically appeared. And the rest of the show went on w/o a hitch. But the non-preshow festivites were not there. I wonder if this is somehow related to what went on over where you are. ?

I don't know! The theaters it was being broadcast to were Regal theaters, like always, but only two in the entire Seattle/Redmond area, and they were way the hell out in the middle of nowhere. Why the theater that has shown every single Rifftrax live show up until now wasn't doing this show is a total mystery.

That happened to me when I was going to see the live show for "The Room". The theater I'd always gone to for RT shows (the Rialto in Westfield, NJ) suddenly stopped showing RT events. They weren't in the Regal chain, but they did switch to the Carmike line, so maybe that was it.
In any case, there was no time to get to the Regal Commerce in North Brunswick (where I go now), so I missed that one. From what I've heard, though, "The Room" is a horrendous movie, so maybe I was lucky to miss it.

Happened to me too. Cinemark Tinseltown in Rochester, NY had shown all of the live shows since I started attending four years ago. Drive up to the theater for Mothra, walk in, take a peek at the ribbon board… no Mothra. Ask the cashier if they're showing it… no luck.
I drove across the street to the local Burger King to doublecheck Fandango (neither my phone nor the theater itself have wifi, but I have a tablet in my car) and yep, no Mothra. And no Carnival of Souls or last week's show either.
Very, very weird.

Where I'm at (Carbondale, Illinois) one of our AMC theaters has always had the shows. For Carnival of Souls the replay was listed before the end of August. The live showing didn't show up in the system until 2 days before it aired to be booked. Then for the Christmas special, it never showed up at all in the system according to the manager. The guys at Rifftrax might want to look into what is going on, because it seems like the shows may not be showing up in some systems. Missing the Christmas one was especially disappointing as we didn't get to see SCCtM the first time around due to a major snowstorm that shut down the entire town the day of it's live airing & they didn't have replays at the time.
