I know there are NDAs and all, but I am very curious if 1101 made efforts to reference the season 10 finale and explain how we got to where we are in season 11 (i.e. Mentions of Mike, Gypsy's ConGypsCo, how the bots got from the sub level basement to Jonah). Same here. I don't want a return to the overbearing arcs of Season 8, but some continuity would go a long way in easing the transition to the new cast. Diabolik was as close to a perfect ending one can get for this show, and I'd hate for it to be ignored completely.

Joel recently made a post on Facebook saying "all 14 episodes have been delivered to Netflix for a month of QC (quality control) and once that's finished we're waiting on a release date (hopefully in the not too distant future)"
So now we wait...

If we take him literally (They JUST delivered them...it will take EXACTLY one month...THEN a release will be decided...) I'd say it's starting to look like late April or May for the episodes.

Having said that, I definitely continuity acknowledgement. (Though just a little bit can go a long way in the case of this show. The opening of season 8 left a lot unsaid and was funnier for it at times, with brief explanations that got a lot of mileage.)

It sounds like someone might've spilled the beans on FB. I imagine the post won't be up for long.

Joel just sent an e-mail confirming April 14th as the premiere day on Netflix.

Just got it too. The question I'm left wondering is how many guesses would it have taken for Kolos to get that date?
"The date is Feb..." "No." "I meant Mar..." "Actually it's April 14th." "I KNEW IT!"

Welp, I guess we're in the final stretch, folks.
Amusingly, I saw a classic Joel episode on PBS last night that I'd never seen before. I'm getting new episodes from the past *and* the future!

According to Ivan, they're still negotiating with Netflix but it seems like the backer downloads will arrive on April 13th, with the livestream premier a week before the Netflix release. They're apparently worried about the eps making their way to torrent sites and hurting the ratings/chances for more seasons.

Though this was a "for-the-backers digital download" release long before Netflix was involved. Interesting that we have to wait longer so as to appease any concerns that the show could do poorly on Netflix if the backers get their copies too early. That said, I doubt many backers will complain too much if it makes additional seasons more likely.

Honestly, when MST went on a streaming network, I knew the downloads would be a concern. As of right now they're more or less just a copy for backers without being committed to a Netflix account, so even if they were given to us "day of" there would be at least that.

Definitely. Like... I'm sure nearly everyone who donated to the show to get the new season wants to do everything that they can to make the show have better chances for more seasons down the line, buuuuut... there are also those who really, really love putting digital files of movies and shows onto torrent sites. I can see anything from "You can't tell ME what to do" to "Well, it probably won't really hurt anything..." being issues here.
Still... I've a feeling that we'll see less of that kind of problem from MSTies than we would from other shows. I'm probably a bit naive when I say that, but I feel like a lot of us know what we're doing if we're in this deep.
Speaking of, I need to set aside some cash so that I can renew my Netflix account the moment this is available for streaming. Let Netflix know that this is pretty much exactly what I want to go back to their service for, even if only for a few months.
