I highly approve of this edit! I was hoping someone would make an extended version of the movie with the resources from the Shout Blu-ray. Also cool to see the Bootsy Collins riff rightfully restored. And if it were me, I would just add it to the audio 1 track, since it's technically a deleted riff. Yep, exactly my plan! It will be added to the default Original Riffs track, while the 2nd track (Theatrical Riffs) will keep "Leona Helmsley".

I heard the opening song--the one that's actually in the movie, not the one that got repurposed into the end credits--is the background music for the Blu-Ray. Any chance you could toss that up somewhere?

Any chance you could toss that up somewhere? I think the instrumental version is more appropriate for the opening credits of the movie, and there is no other scene to really add it in... A heads up: I will have the definitive version (with the Bootsy Collins riff) available tomorrow for download. For those who don't want or can't re-download the complete movie, I will also provide a link to download the audio track only.

I don't think the theme song would fit the film's opening credits to be honest. It's such a low-key scene. Nor would it really fit the length.
Plus that opening is supposed to be reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Okay, to clarify, because I think despite my best efforts something still got muddled here.
In the second scene of the theatrical film, there's a light instrumental version of the theme playing while Mike exercises and the credits roll. This track is apparently the background music for the Blu-Ray menu screen. If you could make that track available, on its own, I would be very grateful.

I don't think that instrumental appears anywhere on the Blu-ray. What they did put on it, over the bonus features menu, is the full vocal version of the theme that was made for the movie and intended as the opening at one point, but scrapped in favor of the one you're looking for. An instrumental of this version can be heard over the end credits.
