I finally finished up the season this week with "At the Earth's Core". I thought the movie was OK, if cheaper-looking than the other two McClure/Burroughs/Amicus movies. The plot was pretty nonsensical, but it was a good enough adventure movie. McClure was appropriately stalwart, Caroline Munro was attractive, and Peter Cushing was good in anything.
As for the episode, I thought the McClure/Eating riffs went on to much, but in general the riffing was OK. I liked Growler, and wouldn't mind seeing him show up once in a while, like the Nanites. The host segments were OK. I did have a problem with the wedding arc and the cliffhanger ending (does every show need them?), but not to a big extent. I am interested in seeing how they resolve things in Season 12. (Like, say, Kinga mentioning how she coped with her disappointment by following family tradition: killing Max seven or eight times.)
It wasn't my favorite season finale, but I thought it worked OK.
