I was getting concerned for a while since Adam Sandler's latest travesty movie trended almost instantly and it had the same release date, but MST finally made Netflix's trend list, just behind Fraiser and The West Wing.
Keep the stream flowing, people!

I'd be interested to know what the retention rate is and how lomg it takes for the average person to get through the season. Too bad Netflix doesn't release that data.

Too bad Netflix doesn't release viewer numbers. It would be interesting to see how it stacks up to other "cult" Netflix shows like Bojack Horseman.

This might be a stupid question. . .but how do you see what's trending on Netflix? (I don't know because I've never cared before!) :-)

Oh yeah! Duh! I guess I rarely scroll through those since I usually go to Netflix and search for something specific I have in mind to watch, so never really paid attention to that. (Thanks!)
Although unfortunately on mine I don't see MST3K listed among trending shows. I'll start streaming one now to help, even though I can't exactly watch it.

You've exposed the reason that people shouldn't be too excited about seeing MST3K trending on Netflix. Their trending rankings isn't Netflix as a whole, it's based off people with similar tastes to you and what they're watching. So if you mostly use Netflix to stream Fuller House and the Christmas yule log video (equal entertainment values there), you're less likely to see MST3K in your trending list than someone who streamed Patton Oswalt's latest special and the Richard Basehart film "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea."

If anything, I used to use it a lot to stream classic MST3Ks when they had them, so I would think they'd make that connection.

What's strange is that it appears on my phone but not on my 4K player, even though it's the same account.
Whether or not it's compiled from "similar taste" data (and I get a lot of crap in that trend column that I have given a poor rating to), it still means the show is being watched, and that's worth noting.

Well I don't see the new season on Trending Now, but I do see it on the Popular on Netflix list, so that must count for something.
