Here is my wishlist MST3K season 14!
Jail Bait (1954) Mystery on Monster Island (1981) The Astounding She-Monster (1957) Star Odyssey (1979) Line of Fire (1969) Megaforce (1982) Quest for the Mighty Sword (1990) Horror of the Blood Monsters (1970) The Mighty Gorga (1969) Samson and the Mighty Challenge (1964) Galaxis (1995) She Gods of Shark Reef (1958) Lords of the Deep (1989) Venus Flytrap (1970)
Okay, okay I think I'll stop here. I guess my point was that the show has many seasons worth of bad movies to ensure that the show has a long and successful future!

On another note, I feel I should post a complete wishlist for Season 12 as well. Alot of these have been released by Shout! Factory (marked *), so I'd say it's very possible to get these into future seasons.
From Hell It Came (1957) The Giant Claw (1959) Konga (1961) Blood of Dracula's Castle (1969) Trog (1970) Frogs (1972) * Night of the Lepus (1972) The Food of the Gods (1976) * Empire of the Ants (1977) * Tentacles (1977) * The Loch Ness Horror (1981) Hercules (1983) * Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo (1985) * America 3000 (1986)

Who wants to see some KTMA movies redone, like The Million Eyes of Sumuru or The Last Chase? Hell, I'd even love to see Phase IV redone, as much as I love that movie in it's unriffed state, it's just so trippy and bizarre.

Many of those would be great to revisit. Sumuru came out on Blu Ray last year, so there's an HD master ready to go. The Last Chase came out on DVD in 2011 and was quickly recalled, (making it instant Ebay fodder) so the rights might be elusive.

What would people think about them doing sequel to movies they made after the show ended, like Hobgoblins 2 or the upcoming Manos Returns? I mean Hobgoblins 2 is certainly bad enough to get the MST3K treatment, and I get the impression that the director would be chuffed about it too.

Those sequels have such a different mindset and sense of self-awareness than the originals, though. Like, I know the original Hobgoblins was deliberate camp on some level, but in terms of intention it is football stadiums apart from Hobgoblins 2. I have never seen Samurai Cop 2 but I suspect it's a similar deal.
Knowingly bad movies like that are doable, but I think are to be avoided. I was surprised and impressed by how well Rifftrax did with Sharknado, especially in the wake of all the people insisting it was somehow taboo, but then Sharknado 2 came along and it was everything I feared the Sharknado riff would be. And you can tell that Mike/Kevin/Bill recognize that the earnest movies are the best fodder because for all their experimentation they've really double-down on classic MST fare these past several years.

I could certainly foresee that being an issue, while I can't say how seriously Manos Returns is going to take itself (more so then Hobgoblins 2 hopefully as that pushed it's self awareness to obnoxious levels honestly) but it definitely is harder to mock a movie that is outright mocking itself. I'd argue that even the first Rifftrax Sharknado wasn't all that great, I mean "Weeeee, I'm a big poo" still stands as the worst riff I've heard uttered from any MST3K alumni to date!

One thing I'm torn on as far as what I want to see in future seasons is the balance of monster movies (or at least sci-fi/fantasy/horror stuff) and all the other types of films they've done in the past. For instance, Season Six gets a lot of love to this day, but of its 24 episodes, only six had some sort of monsters in it, with 3 or so more that could fit comfortably in the fantasy/sci-fi genres. In season 11, there was only one film that wasn't - Avalanche (which I found funny, since Joel has gone on record as wanting more variety outside that genre and of course, the stories about how the crew hated the Sci-Fi Channel mandate of using only "sci-fi/fantasy" genre films).
Now, I love the monster ones. Give me a whole season of nothing but rubber suits and lizards with horns glued onto them and I'm happy, but I also love the sheer variety of genres MST3K has covered in its time and I feel that's part of what has given it sustainability. There's something for everyone. Disaster flicks (Avalanche), propaganda films (Invasion USA), 50s exploitation films (Racket Girls, Sinister Urge), police/heist movies (High School Big Shot, the Joe Don Baker films), westerns (Painted Hills, Last of the Wild Horses), etc.
I really feel they need to include some more of that into their oeuvre; without it, we wouldn't have things like Mitchell or Red Zone Cuba.

To be honest, I think Carnival Magic counts as a non-fantasy/sci-fi film as well. And no, I don't count bad line-reading over a chimpanzee (to give the illusion that it's "talking") as "fantasy". To be honest, I have no idea what genre that movie was trying to be at all. I also have to agree on avoiding films that are campy and humorous on purpose, which more or less makes riffing on them redundant. That is unless the humor is REALLY obnoxious and poorly-done (e.g Hobgoblins, Wizards of the Lost Kingdom II).

I think part of the reason they did is because bad scifi/fantasy films are easier to riff, because they have more bad special effect or bizarre moments. I suspect Joel wanted to ease the new cast into the role first, which to me was probably the smartest thing to do. I think they might be more likely to give us more variety in future season as after these episodes I imagine that the new cast are more confident in their riffing skills!

I'd like to see them do a genre or two they've never done before. There were a lot of cheesy low budget paranormal documentaries in the 70's about UFO's, monsters, ghosts, and the like. Some of those might be public domain today. Maybe riff the original Legend Of Boggy Creek? I'd love to see them do an animated film. Raggedy Ann and Andy from 1977 is like a whacked out nightmare version of Toy Story. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raggedy_Ann_%26_Andy:_A_Musical_AdventureAnd call me crazy, but I'd like to see them do a silent film someday. There's a really awful version of The Wizard Of Oz from 1925, with a pre fame Laurel and Hardy that pretty much throws much of the source material out the window. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_Oz_(1925_film)
