I take a month off for Gen-Con, the Eclipse, and seein' some family, and I come back to see this! Even without K03, August just keeps givin'. Take that, June!

Did these tapes ever get released? Even if K03 isn't one of them, having fan recordings of K01 and K02 is still huge! Not to mention, the Reddit post mentions that he may have a first gen recording of K04. Also a big deal. I think we should see what's on the tapes.

If I recall correctly, it the tapes were of later KTMA episodes and not the first three.

Oh gosh, I totally forgot about this thread!
Anyway, I wish I had more to share, but I remember while I was trying to talk with him about these tapes, at some point he just...vanished off the face of the earth. :/ Just stopped talking to me and idk what happened. Wish I knew what was going on, but yeah sorry to say that we won't really know if he had the tapes.

That's a shame, dude. I was hoping that it was legit (I mean, it still could be), but it seems to me that he didn't have anything if he just left the conversation like that. It seems like the interest towards finding K03 has dwindled down over the past couple years, but I really hope that it can be found. I personally LOVE the overall vibe of the KTMAs and would love to see one last episode from the era. I feel like with how many calls came in the week of K03, somebody had to record at least a portion of it. Hopefully, something is discovered down the line.
