Happy New Year, everyone! I like the McElroy tradition of giving a rhymed title or subtitle to each new year, so I hope it's twenty-great-teen for you all!
For all its pains, I think 2017 was actually a step up over 2016... more "dealing with the mess we're in" than "crashing and burning into a mess", even if it didn't always feel that way. We did, at least, have fewer Harambes lost to us. I'm going to assume that 2018 won't be perfect... in fact, there's a lot of bad things we're scheduled to have to cope with or change... but I'm looking forward to the challenge. For now, at least. I'm sure I'll be griping about it all come summer.
