Debbie was a chimp with Spock ears in the original show. I believe Blarp, that pointless CGI monkey from the movie, evolved from that concept Oh, yeah. Didn't someone have a chicken, or am I thinking of another show?

Didn't someone have a chicken, or am I thinking of another show? They had a lot of weird animals in the first season. One of them might have been a dressed up ostrich, but Debbie was the most used one. The only other one I recall getting involved was a tortoise that was in the pilot whose scenes where chopped up and put into There Were Giants In The Earth. And even then the only thing the tortoise did was have Penny ride on its back and they got lost. How a tortoise got so damn far away from the Jupiter 2 that they got hopelessly lost I will never know.

Maybe they just mentioned the chicken on the new show and I just remembered it wrong. Hell, maybe I'm even thinking of Return to OZ. Dorothy had a chicken in that one.

I'm watching yet ANOTHER apocalypse themed show. This one is from The Netherlands (it's dubbed) and has people surviving after a virus is spread through the rain. It's called, uh, The Rain. It's kind of slow moving and simplistic, but overall is not bad. One could start a drinking game with the number of times the main actress (as character Simone) says her brother's name when calling him when she's worried. Think "Carrllll!!", but more worried and less yelled out. (His name is Rasmus).

I happened to watch a documentary on Nicolas Tesla on Netflix last night. Only an hour long, but really interesting.

I've been meaning to watch this show since it first dropped a few years ago but have never got around to it. There's just too much stuff, y'all!

Anything with the Wachowskis' name on it at the very least has my curiosity, even if it's a Jupiter Ascending level disaster. And the idea of them shepherding a TV series intrigues me to no end.
That said I need to be in a specific mood to watch their stuff. I'll get around to Sense8 eventually but it might be a while. Though the first Matrix film hits 4K this week. Maybe I'll get triggered.

So the whole purpose of the show was just - orgy. Kidding. Oh, and - they used the worst frickin' songs I've never heard of. Horrible music. There was one Motown song that was good and the rest sucked. Maybe those were the only songs they could get rights to without paying an arm and a leg. And, I absolutely HATE "What's Goin' On" by 4 Non-blondes. Ick. Did I miss something? Did that mother character have any significance whatsoever after they talked to her? I didn't see her trying to connect with Whispers or anything. I thought I was paying attention, but maybe not. ^^^ Not much of a spoiler, but, I didn't want to say anything to anyone who hadn't watched the finale yet.

Just mere days after I slam Netflix in the Sloane Complaint thread, they went and did something awesome like this. www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/953165-lucifer-season-four-picked-up-by-netflixAfter Ash vs. Evil Dead, this was the cancellation that stung the most. I'm glad it found another home. I'm surprised it was Netflix though, since I would have pegged Hulu as the obvious choice since it holds all three seasons currently. Though my primary concern is that unlike the Fox seasons with had individual cases in each episode this new one will "Netflix it up" and just be one long, drawn out, and boring story that could have been done in three episodes.

Just finished watching Evil Genius on Netflix. One of the weirdest cases ever. I had never heard anything about the Pizza Bomber before watching it. Definitely worth your time if you are into this kind of stuff.

Been home sick the last few days. Watched a really solid documentary on Hedy Lamarr called "Bombshell." Really fascinating stuff.
