Someone asked Joel on Twitter if there would be a live tour this year and he responded “yes.” So they’ve got that happening. Great.

Probably won't be able to go to this one either. So yay, I guess.

The voice in my head that ignores the advice of the theme song always wonders why and how Joel Robinson has to watch these live show movies.
I know that's not the point, I know I should just relax.
But it's so fun to muse endlessly...

Hope they'll be at the Keswick again. Great venue. But I REALLY hope they'll record the show.
By the way, was the 30th Anniversary video they showed during last year's tour released publically? I thought it turned out OK.

If it really is Joel's farewell then I am OK with him hogging the spotlight, but it doesn't feel like a great sign that the revival cast is missing in action here.

Yes, lots of ominous signs around this tour.

Wow, too bad it'll be Joel's last live tour! The past two (plus Cinematic Titanic) were amazingly fun and special experiences for me, so I'm just glad we're at least getting another one this year. I'm interested to see who else will be riffing alongside him..

I would guess Tim Ryder and Grant Baciocco, though it would be cool if Hampton Yount could do this tour.

I would guess Tim Ryder and Grant Baciocco, though it would be cool if Hampton Yount could do this tour. Hampton's not exactly busy. He's got a podcast, and he does the comedy club touring thing. And...that's it? Barron's developing his own shows, starring in other shows, etc. So it makes sense for him to miss tours. But Hampton? Unless they're not paying him enough to make it worth his time, I can't see why he sits out. Or maybe he doesn't want to look like the one guy with nothing going on and sits out because everyone else does.

Awesome! Both films should be a lot of fun to see riffed, wasn't expecting the JCVD flick.

Rifftrax did a fine job with No Retreat No Surrender, and Shout just announced a Blu-Ray of Circus of Horrors.
Hopefully these shows get recorded.
