Don't know about this. The humor has a lot to do with the delivery. If I'm just reading it, even though I can have their respective voices in my head, it might not come across as being as funny as watching the show. I had that experience when I bought the script for the Eegah! Live show that they did. The show got good reviews by people who WENT to the show, but just reading it, it was just okay.

Just a thought, but maybe with this comic series will bring about a different riffing experience than just making jokes. Maybe Jonah and the bots are placed into the comics (via the magic of a new Kinga machine) and Jonah and the bots are able to interact within the panels as well?

Based on the variant cover, it looks like they are riffing this:

This could go either way. I'll give it a few issues.

Cool! Good to see the publishing stuff start to happen. Weren't there a few books Joel announced about a year ago?

Well...it can't be any worse than Marvel & DC constantly "rebooting" with number #1 every second week.

We'll take that challenge and reboot every two issues.

I do believe they said it is a 6 issue mini series.

A 6 Issue Mini could work... I'm just curious...I mean I watch MST3K for the riffing... & I just can't see "riffing" translating to a written/art medium. I mean I like Mike Nelson...but I wouldn't watch him host a cooking show.
Does that analogy make sense?

Humorous dissection of literary work can be done, bit whether it can do so with the MST format is a question mark. I'm at least interested to see them try.

I do recall they were trying to do this in the 90s but it was one of those things that didn't make it through like the aborted PC interactive cd that was supposed to have Assignment Venezuela on it.
