No, not another strike, but it did get blocked. Working on trimming it down now.

That's a bummer.... hopefully not too many more MGM produced movies will end up getting blocked.

I'm happy that I already downloaded the episode from Diet Kolos's MST3K Broadcast Editions. Of course I also have the DVD. But what in the heck.

The only downside for me personally is the local ads for COX of all cable companies (yeah, it's Rhode Island, I get it), but it was still nice to see how it originally aired (mostly) back in '96.

This has become my favorite way to watch MST3K lately. Whoever's uploading them to YouTube, thank you! It's like I'm 6 years old again. And I love seeing the old commercials

It's also interesting to see where the breaks happen because on the DVDs that's hard to pick out sometimes.
And yes, I appreciate it. Makes me nostalgic for the olden days of Comedy Central!

Would anyone happen to know the name of this actress who appears in this Comedy Central bumper before this June 1992 recording of "Earth vs. the Spider" (from my personal tape collection)? www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4fz3MoiR3AI must say, she is absolutely GORGEOUS, and I'd be curious to know the kind of work she's been in.

Just a heads up in case no one noticed. Diet Kolos just uploaded MST3K #609 SD Turkey Day edition. He did not mention the name because according to him "I'm not saying the film's name as I've had some copyright issues with it in the past, and I think whoever runs Coleman's estate manually reviews for his stuff". So you might want to get it quick. I downloaded it to my external hard drive already. Thanks DK.

I THINK it might be Judy Tenuta.

Well, I can officially say this: For the time being, it looks like Kolos is only going to have ONE recording of "The Starfighters" that DOESN'T have local ads on it (I know an older one is from RI and the recent one is in Jacksonville FL).
My 10 AM next day rerun recording (10/30/94) which I DEFINITELY look forward to seeing on his channel.

I have a feeling there's probably a slim chance, but I'd really love to see more 12:30 AM 1992 shows of season 3 episodes. For some reason, I really dig "Night After Night" promos with Alan Havey before the show finishes. Definitely an underrated talk show host.

I recently did a YouTube scrub through to see what I can find of Night After Night. Not a lot, only a few full episodes including the last one. Bunch of small misc clips. What I can find is pretty darn funny. Especially anything with Nick Bakay and their weatherman.
It has a real anarchic, early 80s David Letterman feel to it.
It's a real shame that Comedy Central unceremoniously canceled it in 92. Apparently, Alan Havey and the Night After Night format was one of Lorne Michaels' early considerations for David Letterman's replacement on NBC before he settled on Conan O'Brien.
Now there's a bit of alternate history what-if for you...
