As per the most recent Kickstarter update, we should be getting an announcement tomorrow about the live tour: "We've got a lot more news abrewin', starting with our next big announcement on June 1 about the future of the live tour."
Hopefully the announcement includes some news about the future of the show (In production? Looking for a new home? Dead in the water?), but I'm not holding my breath.

My local paper posted a piece about the live tour coming to my town. Yipee. They said VIP packages were currently up for sale, but they are not. So I'm looking forward to the announcement -- hoping they confirm the date.

Hm, no announcement, unless I missed it. Odd.

Joel likes to play with his cards close to his chest. I'm expecting that we'll still get an announcement, but probably not until something somewhere can be confirmed.

The email just went out. Once again, fans in Idaho got royally screwed.

Thanks for the heads-up, Torgo. Regarding the show, Joel says: "...I also want you to know that we're still in discussions about the future of Mystery Science Theater 3000, and making more seasons. There's no official news yet, because we're focusing most of our attention on preparing for the tour, but as soon as there's something else to share, I'll be sure to tell you."
Hum. So it will be another long wait between seasons, sounds like, even though the shorter length of Season 12 was supposed to coincide with faster turn-over. I'm guessing the negotiations with Netflix are not going well.
Also, Joel is already thinking about the NEXT live tour: "Jonah is in his holding-pen and deeply involved creatively with this tour as a writer and riff producer too. (Also… he’s promised me he’ll go out on the next tour!)"

Damn it, were getting "No Retreat, No Surrender", I really wanted Circus as I struggled with the Rifftrax version of No Retreat. I guess I could fly to Eugene, but I'd rather stay home - ah well, I'll take what I'm given.
No tickets yet, no VIP packages available as reported by my local rag.

More dates to be announced. So don't count Idaho out just yet...

Going from the Royal Oak Music Theater (1700 seats) to the Fox Theater in downtown Detroit (5000+ seats) sounds insane.

What surprises me is that the tour looks to be stretching from September 2019 to March 2020, that's 7 months compared to the last tour taking two months. Granted, they seem to not be so tightly packed, so I'd imagine they are not on the road that whole time. Still, it feels like they have planned a lot of downtime for the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020. Almost like they know they won't be working on a season 13 anytime soon. Add in the lack of any performers from the show on the tour, aside from the puppeteers I'd guess, and it is really looking like the TV show is on hiatus and Netflix might not be a solid deal.
Also, while I know they will be adding dates, it is a shame Chicago isn't in the initial announcement. Seems to be a big city to not announce out of the gate.

If I had to guess, Netflix is willing to renew, but it will be at a money-losing rate like season 12 apparently was. So Joel isn't saying yes until they figure out a way to not lose cash.
Netflix seems quick to cancel lately, so if they didn't want more MST3K I suspect they would have said so by now.

Here's my irrational anger that Western New York isn't involved yet again.

I am actually in shock that there is a date here in Spokane!
It's a good kind of shock though as usually anything big tends to skip by here and go to Seattle instead.

On the one hand, I was disappointed that they weren't coming back to the Keswick in Glenside, PA. It's a good venue, and I saw the two previous tours there, along with the last (to date) CT show. On the other hand, they're doing both movies at the State Theater in New Brunswick, NJ, which is a lot closer to my home. Parking is a hassle in town, but I can live with that.
I'm keeping my eyes open to see if they do go back to the Keswick, just in case. As for Season 13, I'll wait and see until there's an official word from Joel.

Why can't they just do live events through Fathom like Rifftrax? That way more of us would be able to see the shows. I feel a bloody-eyed rant coming on so I'll say no more.
