I noticed that last week a lot of Rifftrax titles that had been titles included with Prime for as long as I can remember are now PPV or Pay to Own. Thanks. I just noticed that, too, this weekend, when all these titles I had watchlisted suddenly went PPV. Fever Lake, a huh?-inducing horror flick with Corey Haim and Bo Hopkins, was one of the few Rifftrax titles still included with Prime. (Also recommended, by the way.)

I've rewatched Voodoo Man about twenty times. It just flows like water.

In the Rifftrax Facebook group one of their computer guys said Amazon removed a lot of content from smaller creators to funnel viewers toward Amazon originals.

If true, it's hard to fathom why. Rifftrax is utterly unlike typical Amazon Original fodder and therefore poses no direct competition. Do Amazon execs really think that Rifftrax fans, once deprived, will switch over to watch some dippy Viola Davis girl scout sitcom instead?
Now if Amazon had their own riffing show, their decision would make much more sense. Hmm... maybe someone should page Joel on that. 😂

Well, that didn't take a long.
It appears Amazon changed its mind and now many Rifftrax titles are Prime-included once more.
