So, go to the NASA web site to see the story, as I'm not good at explaining these things, but:
They sincerely believe they have found water molecules on the moon.

Archaeologists have found over a hundred intact sarcophagi in Saqqara, which is just south of Cairo. They are over 2500 years old. Pretty cool. They believe they are all belonging to top officials of the Late Period and Ptolemaic Period.
And this is about a month after finding another 59, along with statues and funerary masks.
Can't imagine all that's buried there in Egypt.

A good month to look up.
In the late evening of the 13th and into the next morning the Geminid meteor shower will be peaking.
On the 14th, but only visible in the Southern Hemisphere (but you can see it online) will be a total solar eclipse.
On the 21st Jupiter and Saturn will be conjoining and be so close it will look like one planet. A "Christmas Star", if you will.
Hopefully the sky will be clear where I live. It seems EVERY time there is a celestial event, it's cloudy.

Of course, the 13th was cloudy and so is tonight. Grrr.
I saw Saturn and Jupiter for a bit. Didn't look like anything too unusual, though it did look a little bigger than just one of them, and had a bit of a halo affect to it. Now I can't see anything because of the clouds.

Blue Origin has test launched a re-usable space ship meant to take people to the edge of space and back. It was unmanned. (On board was "Mannequin Skywalker"). The video is on their website and also on YouTube.
The video is watching it from outside, though, and there wasn't a camera inside, so I'm sure many folks will be typing "fake".

Scientists at MIT are looking at spinach to send them "emails" about the environment. The spinach plant is very good at detecting minerals and water in the soil, and changes in the soil, and scientists have been able to interpret the signs, so they are wanting to use spinach plants to determine the health of the soil around the plants and what's going on. The plant can even detect metals in the soil so if there were land mines planted, that can also be detected. The article was in The Telegraph. news.yahoo.com/spinach-taught-send-emails-mit-140205260.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=maHmm. No link comes up when I type that above ^^^^ . When I emailed myself the story on Yahoo News, that's what came up, but there's no link to the article. So, just go to Yahoo News or The Telegraph, or MIT, I guess, to search for it. Edit: Never mind, the link works.

Edit: With Joe Rogan's conspiracy-theory-type content, who knows if this guy is even legit. Interesting if this is true, though.

NASA's Perseverance will be landing on Mars on Thursday, 2/18. It will be broadcasting live on it's YouTube channel. This is the United Arab Emirates Space Agency's pic of Mars from the Hope Probe.

Just saw a commercial for a documentary about the Murder Hornets, AKA Nature's Serial Killers. The link is to an article about it. It's available now on Discovery Plus, if you have it. I do, but I might be too squeamish to watch it.

This YELLOW penguin was spotted on a South Georgia island in the South Atlantic. No melanin. How cool is that? I hope no one goes to harass it or it doesn't get eaten because it's coloration doesn't protect it as much.
