It's most certainly due to the editing. The first 3 national seasons were edited by a third-party, IVL Post, if I'm not mistaken. BBI bought an editing suite towards the end of Season 3 with the big contract money they got (see episode 320 with the Tor Johnson video toaster host segment). This is also evident via the BBI vault tapes I have. Tapes with episodes from the first 3 seasons don't have an internal production slate, Season 4 and on do.
In any case, my best guess is that the Info Club address was superimposed directly by Comedy Central those first 3 seasons during broadcast, the masters they got from IVL Post didn't have them.

That's not necessarily Turkey Day specific; I know that when I was restoring the missing frames around the non-bumper commercial break, I remember one episode that had two different times for the Info Club release. Sometimes, the DVD has a different font. I wonder whether it's actually in the master or was added after the fact. But I will admit that I did my comparisons on the audio level, so maybe I'm just making an excuse...
Do you remember what episode that might have been?
I don't think it's actually "Alien From L.A.", but it's an episode that reminded me of that. Looking at the season 3 list, best guess would be "Cave Dwellers", maybe "Viking Women". I remember a bunch of people in "primitive" costumes in a tunnel, but I think it was a sci-fi lair type tunnel, with lights and a few consoles and a little remote control robot on wheels at the other end. The odd thing about it was that it was so close to that commercial break that I would even notice it.
They mess around a bit with the fonts in general, I never took note of it because I wasn't gonna go back and fix it. The "Best Brains" logo on the early episodes (pre-stinger) is different than when it aired, I remember that, and the stinger on the "Colossal Man" VHS is different than the off-air recording.

Hey, good job, I'm pretty sure that's right. I wasn't paying attention to that one when I scanned the list, I totally forgot it's an '80's title.
