mst3k.org/2020/10/15/turkey-day-2020-you-pick-the-episodes/So, apparently they're doing some kind of voting tournament for Turkey Day this year. I think this is going to be a daily thing, where they have a Joel episode and a Mike episode put against each other and fans vote for the better episode. Today's episodes are Eegah and Boggy Creek II. I haven't seen either of them yet. So, what do you think?

I voted for Eegah - even though I've seen it a bajillion times - Boggy Creek II just never did anything for me.

Today's episodes are Swamp Diamonds and Devil Fish. I've never seen Swamp Diamonds, but Devil Fish is one of my favorite episodes. So, I guess I'm voting for Warning: Ethnic Slur.

Today's episodes are Tormented and The Touch of Satan. Again, one of these is one that I've never seen before. But I guess Touch of Satan is a funny enough episode. I just hope that we'll get one soon where I've actually seen both episodes. That would be nice.

Tormented is my favorite episode and I haven't heard of it being anyone else's favorite. ToS is far ahead at this point so it's probably a done deal. But I voted for "Tom Stewart killed me" anyway.

The fact that Touch of Satan is beating Tormented makes me a little sad. But I also think Swamp Diamonds is better than Devil Fish.
So far the Joel Episodes are way better than the Mike ones, but Mike keeps winning.

I guess they took a little break yesterday, because today is the fourth day of this MST3K tournament thing. Today's episodes are The Day the Earth Froze and Laserblast.
Finally, a round where I've actually seen both episodes! However, I think it's kind of unfair and dumb to compare these episodes. One of them is a really pretty Russo-Finnish fantasy film, and one of them is lame cheesy 70's science fiction. Who thought putting those together was a good idea? I do like both episodes, but I gotta give it to Laserblast this time. For me, Laserblast is one of the few episodes to actually make me laugh from beginning to end. And for that, Laserblast is actually my favorite episode of the entire series right now. However, like I said before, this is kind of an unfair fight due to how different the films are.

Whoa, it's neck and neck at the moment: literally a 50/50 split.
I voted for Day the Earth Froze. Laserblast riffs are funny, but the movie itself is a hard chore to sit through. DTEF is pretty bizarre and out there and it's one of my faves.

Yeah, I was surprised by how even it was. I still feel like Laserblast will probably edge the other one out. But who knows?

Today's episodes are Pod People and Parts: The Clonus Horror. This is another one where I've only seen one of the two episodes. And while I like Pod People to an extent, it's not one I'd call a favorite. I won't be voting today.

Finally a match where the Mike episode easily trumps (Trumpy?) the Joel episode...and it had to be Clonus.
I refuse to vote for Pod People, so I guess I'm going to be voting for the losing side yet again.

Today's episodes are The Rebel Set and The Sinister Urge. Kind of oddball episodes to choose, but hey these episodes are new to Turkey Day as far as I know. One of the biggest problems with Turkey Day last year was the fact that the entire schedule was a repeat of 2013, with the exception of Final Sacrifice. So, some variety is definitely appreciated. I've never seen these episodes though. So, I can't vote.

It's the second to last day for round 1 voting already? I feel like this all went by too fast. Anyway, today's episodes are The Painted Hills and Horrors of Spider Island. Like for many of these, I haven't seen both episodes. I've heard good things about them, but I can't vote because I haven't watched them. Tomorrow is going to be the last day for round 1, and I'm really curious to see what they'll have tomorrow. Once again, I really do like how they have more obscure episodes to choose from. I might actually want to watch a couple episodes from Turkey Day this year, because it looks like they will be ones I've never seen.

Well, today's the final pair of episodes for round 1. However, voting won't end until Sunday. The final episodes are Secret Agent Super Dragon and Night of the Blood Beast. I'm already planning on watching Blood Beast this Thanksgiving (both versions). So, we'll see if I actually get to watch it on the Turkey Day marathon. Put in your votes, boys.

I will legit be shocked if Super Dragon beats Blood Beast. Like, this one isn't even a contest.
