Brig. Gen. Chuck Yeager (February 13, 1923 – December 7, 2020), one of the U.S. Air Force's most decorated test pilots the 1st human to break sound barrier, has passed away at 97. He was portrayed in the movie "The Right Stuff" by actor Sam Shepard. Rest Well Sir... What a life.. Chuck Yeager

Read somewhere he was passed over for the space program because he didn't go to college. I know astronauts need a hell of a resume, but I think this guy had his bases covered.

Named the Pancho Barnes Happy Bottom Riding Club. Run by Pancho Barnes herself. She was quite the character and the bar was legendary back in the day. In fact The Pancho Barnes Happy Bottom Riding Club was referenced on Star Trek Deep Space 9's promenade directory.. (Along with Tom Servo's Used Robots)

anyway, RIP to Brig Gen Chuck Yeager. he also flew missions in Vietnam too (in a B-57 Canberra)
