Ivan Askwith said in a Kickstarter comment that they "are planning to build the Gizmoplex on top of Vimeo OTT." So it sounds as if the Gizmoplex will be a site (I don't have a better word) that uses existing services, sort of like a skin laid on top. I was hoping there would be some information in the FAQ update today, but that has been postponed until at least tomorrow.

Ivan Askwith said in a Kickstarter comment that they "are planning to build the Gizmoplex on top of Vimeo OTT." Well that's interesting, and real, and makes it sound feasible. It also means that there's nothing revolutionary about it. It will be no more revolutionary than Fit Fusion by Jillian Michaels or COSMIC Kids! vimeo.com/ott/pricing?mkc=688-home-v

I really like the "official and reusable POPCORN BUCKET and DRINK CUP" reward. Seems really creative and actually useful. I hope we see what it looks like before the end of the campaign.
I'm in my 40s, the last thing I need is another poster I'll never use, more classic episodes, or assorted trinkets.

Being middle aged and not what you would describe as "with it", where is the news of this campaign being spread besides the typical FB, IG, TWforums like this? Mainly wondering because if they are intending to reach out beyond the current fans who donated last time, they will have to use other means.
My daughter was video chatting with a friend yesterday, one who I knew to be a fan of MST3K from the reboot being on Netflix (and who also knew of Season 0 so a right nerd like us). He had not heard of this new campaign, and was really excited when I butted in and mentioned it.
So, short of making the bots making a Tik Tok dance, what would be the best way to get the youth message out? He can't be the only one not to know, and with all the YT these kids watch, surely most would be on board with supporting a grassroots online version of the show.

There’s a new, more official Mystery Science Theater 3000 Facebook group that started since the season 11 Kickstarter, and it has more followers than Deep 13 House of MST3K and MSTies & More (which just started at the time the first Kickstarter did, as MST3K Revival League), so Facebook is likely reaching more people than it did 6 years ago. Discord is a lot bigger now (was it even a thing in 2015?), as is Twitch.

Frank responded to a fan question on Twitter on if he and Trace were involved in the new show:
"No, not going to be a part of it. Trace and I are busy and happy with what we're doing."
Someone later asked about future live shows with Rifftrax:
"When the world opens up again, if @rifftrax wants us for another live show Trace and I will SO be there."

I'll say again, The Mads shows are GREAT! Total old school MST3K feel (although with more cussing and some politics from Frank)

Frank and Trace are two of my favorite MST3K personalities and it bothers me that they seem to be left out of new MST3K or Rifftrax.

I'll go further and say that Trace, with his portrayal of Dr F and Crow, and his fantastic timing and impersonations in the theater has become, hands down, my favorite MST3K player overall. I wouldn't be too bummed though. Both of them are older, and I think they are mostly where they want to be. I think they maybe were bummed about not being in that first reboot (or more aptly that it was a reboot with them not coming back as main roles), but it feels like they've moved on. Especially with their ongoing The Mads work. ...and, I don't think they've been completely left out of RiffTrax. They were in the MST3K reunion, and I feel like maybe another live show after that?

Yeah, they were also in the Summer Shorts show, and the Batman V Superman riff.

Yeah, Summer Shorts -- That was fun. I didn't watch it live, I watched it DLed later, and I just watched each different riff group's segments separate over like a whole week. If I recall, I think Frank and Trace were my favorite segment of that.

In the comments section over on Kickstarter I read an interesting bit of speculation where the Gizmoplex will play a part in season 13's plot and that the episodes will play out as though we, the viewers, are down in a theater on the moon watching Jonah and the bots. This would make the proposed VR aspect, which I suspect will be a stretch goal past the 5.5M, more interesting as it would place you within the episode. Perhaps they plan to have VR specific elements within the theater.

More from Trace and Frank's show during audience question time:
"Do you have anything to do with the newest version of MST3K?"
(Responses paraphrased)
Trace (pulls off earphones): Good night, everyone.
Frank: Was that the sound of a can of worms being opened?
Kevin: I don't. No. I'm having too much fun with Rifftrax.
Frank: Yeah, we do these Mads shows every month and I like the creative control I have. I wish them the best of luck.
Trace: I'm not doing it. (Gets close to the camera) Hire me. I need a job.

What does the Gizmoplex offer outside of new episodes?
